Ask those folks at Misawa who had their "SOS, Flt CC, skill, depth, breadth, strats, combat" done when they went to their board how that worked out for them.
I think more importantly than what the regs say is the fact that no one is going to remember what OND was 5-10 years from now so it's probably not a great thing to reference.
IPR doesn't assign short tour credit. Take your travel vouchers to career management over at the MPF along with the highlighted short tour table and you'll be good to go.
I figure that there is some sort of stat out there like class A's per flying hour or something. To me, it feels like there have been more crashes than normal even though we're not flying as much. I don't know if that's true or if it just feels that way.
Has it been rough? Is the accident rate actually bad this year or is this just how it always has been?
I echo the sentiment though; thank god he's all right.
I tried looking earlier in this thread for the answer but couldn't find it. I apologize if this has already been answered.
Can you start the AU OLMP on the leadership concentration, take the core courses, and then when you become a major select "switch" to the joint warfare concentration?
In the viper world, you're also ineligible for WIC, on a "fast track" to BMC, and were probably passed over for major on the last board. But yeah, you'll stay in the jet.
Also, 97k a year for an FO is realistic once you're off probation. Check the pay on a 2nd year united FO flying a 747. United also has 399 retirements this year.
Yeah, those in charge surely aren't so retarded that they would pass over 11Fs with clean records for major. Or RIF and then do a recall to active duty the same year.
2 rooms plus a small kitchen, not too old, central heating and cooling, right next to the O Club.
Or you could live off base in a 2000 sq ft apartment.
At Misawa, 6 of 10 F-16 pilots on the board were passed over. One stat that was interesting: 0 previous FAIPs were selected for promotion.
Edit: added base.
