Did a quick search and haven't seen this posted here. If so, delete thread and I'll shack myself.
This was linked on another board of mine. Some pretty cool pics of present-day Ho Chi Minh trail. The locals obviously haven't taken heed to the warnings in their UXO CBTs.

So it looks like I need to knock out the written before 1 Aug then take the practical no less than 2 years later.
Do ATPs have any currency requirements? Do I need to do something annually to stay current, like the CFI?
Did we reach a consensus on how long the written is good for? I've heard:
a. Indefinitely
b. 2 years
c. Indefinitely, as long as you're on AD
I'd like to take it before July but have zero intention on taking the practical anytime soon.
Per the reg, cameras in the cockpit is a OG/CC approval I believe. There is a 0% chance it will be approved if taken through the proper channels. Now if you want to "illegally" bring one, then that's on you, but it's not worth what will happen to you if you get caught, imo. Don't be that guy.
I've had a few beers between now and the last round of cuts, but I want to say those that got RIF'd got to keep Tricare for 6-12 months after their DOS. Not sure if VSPers were in the same boat.
Do this. They're fucking you if they won't let you see the report.
Edit: I read your post again and am unclear on whether or not they've already delivered your HHG. If they haven't delivered them, then wtf are they waiting for? If they have, then you would know the damage and the replacement cost. I'm missing something here.
I haven't tried it yet, but supposedly here at KLRF you have to register your CAC at the gym during normal business hours to get after hours access. Shouldn't take more than a minute or so and you will be good to go.
Thanks for the heads up.
I met with Rick last week and got my CFI shit knocked out in less than an hour. For those of you in LR that want to get your mil-comp stuff done, Rick is highly recommended. He can also do C-130 (L-382) type ratings with a valid Form 8.
I know exactly what LODD is. I never said to not document it your leave, but he said his Sq/CC knows he'll be gone, so just shoot him a quick leave request on leave web and call it good. Since he's been TDY, the chances his Sq/CC will care are slim to none.
Maybe it's the wrong answer, but in my experience, no one gives a shit when/where you take leave as long as someone knows where you're at and you don't do anything stupid.
