I'd say no, since there was a dude in T-1s that went DNIF right before his Mission Fam check, so they let him do it in the sim. Supposedly this dude had struggled throughout, so the writing was on the wall. Think he knew what was up when they said "Oh don't worry about flying your final check, you can do it in a sim". Yeah, he got a UAV (UAS, RPA, HPV, whatever they're calling it this week).

Do Hickam or Aviano have a Club Arriba? Nope! Laughlin should be your #1. Basically I have nothing to add here since I've spent my entire AF career in Texas. But, echoing what others have said, you'd be an idiot to not want to go overseas. I've met 1 German chick in my life, and she was smoking hot. So based on my extensive evidence, I've concluded that all German women are hot. Go there.

Great read. I wish I could have seen one of those fly, but they were a bit before my time. I was an airshow junkie as a kid, but I don't remember ever seeing one.

Made a few changes to the Phase 2 document. Nothing big, but I just threw in my $.02 wherever I felt it was necessary and made a couple corrections. Baseops - Phase II T-6_edit.doc

The Civilian Side Tracker is for airports that are both civilian and military. You can land and RON at these places, but you have to get all your servicing done on the mil side (why would the AF pay civilian FBO fees when there's a military ramp). The AETC LOA is what we went off of for our XCs, and our old IFG had the RON locations.

Anyone have any recent gouge/changes for T-6 PIT? I've been reading the stuff on T6Driver but the info there is 3-4 years old.

I'd like to bring this back from the dead since my drop is soon approaching. Has any of the above info changed recently, as far as mission, ops tempo, deployments, rumors, etc? Also, I read that the academics and sims are done in Dallas, and then the flight training at Keesler. Is this still true?

How often do C-17s do low levels compared to the C-130? Do either actually do low levels outside of training?

Anyone know if Plantar Fasciitis is a DNIFing condition? A few weeks ago I hurt my foot playing volleyball and ever since I've had a slight pain in my heel. It doesn't affect me on a daily basis, just when I try to run or do any physical activity that involves my feet. I'm planning on going to the Flight Doc, but I'm just wondering if there is any written guidance on this.
