  1. I have credible evidence. SA-7. From the domestic terrorists down that way. DHS is on it.
  2. DFP: Why did SF let me down by not giving me jumper cables? CF: Made decision to call SF. CF: Regulations don't allow SF to help. CF: No jumper cables in car. (Root cause) ......IF: Carry jumper cables in car. LL: In order to not be let down by SF in the future when I need jumper cables, I will carry jumper cables in my car. Debriefed. Caveat = there were many other CFs...but you get the idea. DFP = Debrief Focal Point CF = Contributing Factor IF = Instructional Fix LL = Lesson Learned
  3. The reason Quals are important is some jobs require certain quals. For example, you must be a 4-ship to go to the FTU. You must be an IP to go to Test. Certain assignments may request specific quals such as FAC(A) or Sandy. The only locations this information is located is in my gradebook, the LOX, and PEX. So Quals are important on the ADP...but not as much as your leadership looking out for you. Caveat-CAF standard.
  4. Quals Goal (I would like another flying billet/Staff/white jet) Aircraft/Location Prefs Extenuating Circumstances (joint spouse, kid sick, etc) Keep it simple and easy to read. Be realistic. Talk to your commander, he has more pull than you ever will. This is the CAF standard.
  5. They are building some brand new buildings (hospital and commissary and BX) at Spangdahlem. Total cost of all the construction = $400M. They are constructing new buildings so they can shut down Bitburg Annex...for a total savings of $10M per year. And we are bankrupt because? Some fucking Colonel probably got promoted with this logic...
  6. Well shit, I tried to find another job back in March, but was denied. So now you're telling me I can fuck an Airman (female, of course) to meet my objective? I think I just figured out a new gameplan!
  7. My question...why is the only hot one always enlisted? Why why why why! Not that it really matters...
  8. I don't know a hell of a lot of passed over Captains and Major and Lt Cols, for that matter, who have more than 20 years. Most of them reach the 20 year milestone and get the fuck out. How many people who actually make the decisions at the O-6 and above level have less than 20 years? For that matter, how many O-6's and above can you really relate to? I can count them on about 3 fingers. You don't make it into the upper echelons by getting passed over and fighting the system. They are the product of the system, they have endured all the BS just to get to the point where they can create it like the ones who came before them. Probably should have said those who "willingly put up with the bullshit"...but in the end, it's your fucking choice whether or not you wanna stay. There are a shit load of O-5s here whose only purpose is to create more queep for everyone. Seems like they need to do it justify their existence.
  9. Truly ironic statement here. The ones who are willing to put up with the BS for 20 years are generally the ones who create all the BS. It's a self-licking ice cream cone.
  10. Or start cutting the fraud, waste, abuse, and improper payments from the over 1,800 federal subsidy programs. That would account for upward of $100 billion per year. Source
  11. R-Man, I think the reg only applies if it takes you past 10 years of continuous rated service.
  12. For the love of God, please stand your ground on this. They are going to fuck A LOT of people over with this, especially with the 10 year commitment. I wouldn't sign the damn thing. Fuck them.
  13. Dave Ramsey is good for getting out of debt. I used him and it worked. But as you get more knowledge, Dave Ramsey seems to lack sophistication when it comes to investing. While deployed, I found the Bogleheads Wiki page and started reading. Within a month, I was maxing out my TSP and moved all IRA money into a 6-fund ETF portfolio at Vanguard. I think my expense ratio is less than .20% over my entire TSP/Roth portfolio. It's easy, smart, and in the end, keeping money out of advisor's grubby hands means lots more money in your pockets in the end. Managing money doesn't need to be cosmic. You are intelligent enough to manage your own money...
  14. Hahaha. You sir are a fucking retard. 600 of us filled out the paperwork and packed our bags...how did that turn out for us.
  15. Anyone going to write a letter to the board? It would be funny if they got 600 letters requesting to be RIFed.
  16. Some Hogs have it too. POS system.
  17. I read the MISREP on it...fucking awesome!
  18. The economy is bad. There are no jobs. Now move along.
  19. I was going to say the same thing...actually, harshly worded academic papers would probably be more effective.
  20. Who said anything about PME schools producing good leaders? The only school that produces good leaders is Weapons School...just ask any Weapons Officer.
  21. Maybe we could also have a NATO/AFRICOM Stupidity Down Day as well...
  22. Well, technically, he didn't hit the ground or anything attached to it. So, is there really a such thing as too low?
  23. TRAP is not CSAR. Lots of higher leadership thinks it is... We were lucky with how things turned out.
  24. Is there a such thing as Personally Procured Long Term Storage? When I PCSed a couple years ago, TMO couldn't schedule someone to come pick up the stuff I needed to put in Long Term Storage (overseas PCS). So they gave me some letter, and told me to get a storage shed. I did and I am currently paying $75 a month for it back in Tucson. Is this legit? How do I get reimbursed?
  25. Does the FAA have access to a pilot's Air Force medical records? I know the database for waivers and such is computerized now...does the FAA have access to that database without the member's consent?
