pcola, you beat me to it. Erilejr, if you take anything away from this thread, this should be it. They make the rules and they are free to change them at any time and for any reason. They seriously couldn't care less about you and your retirement or whatever regs or contracts you wave at them. The flying may or may not do it for you, it depends on what you want and what you end up with. Air Force life often leaves much to be desired. Ironically, however, the Air Force flying community is populated with some of the best bros you will ever meet, I've never quite been able to figure out why, but it's true. I'd have to say that this part alone might actually make up for the rest of the BS. Whatever you decide, do right by your bros and they'll do right by you, the rest will work itself out. As one person I know likes to put it, just stick to the laws of "dudesmanship." Best of luck.

By this logic, the AF could implement a drunk driving simulator and all but eliminate DUIs! Someone could get a top notch OPR bullet for that.

Sir, I think it's impressive that people seem to be more concerned with number of posts, rather than the egregious failure of leadership and integrity. This incident has been corroborated with several secondary sources and I'm sure there are plenty of other guys on here who can vouch, probably with significantly more details than I can.

Greetings, Anyone in or around HRT/AFSOC hear a rumor about the 1 SOW OG/CC recently putting a CV-22 into the trees about 200m short of the LZ, then throwing the copilot in his seat, jumping off the bird while the crew continues the mission, and then handing out Q3s to everyone for it all? Plus, we haven't heard anything about it at any safety meetings. Im sure I dont have all the facts but it sounds pretty lowball to me.
