  1. Wait for it....wait for it....... Use the search function!
  2. Still funny! Hacker...whats the story behind your pic?
  3. Totally agree.
  4. First of all, as an ENJJPT instructor for 2 years (yes, I know all the UPT bases have foreign dudes, but no where near the ratio that we have them) I say that there is no way, despite what Toro's e-mail says, that this dude was f&ckin around....but, if he was, I totally agree w/ Fury.....that it was a stupid and non-"funny," non-"hilarious" thing it he did do it on purpose. Riddler This dude wasn't yellin b/c just to be yellin.....he was doing it because most likely, he was pretty damn hot! And, the language barrier, whether intentional or not, falls under your #2 of things that really piss you off.
  5. NSTFS......yesterday, as I was controlling out in the RSU, I heard a T-38 solo student out in the area trying to ask the SOF if he should declare an emergency. The problem? As he was trying to do a split-s, he had what he thought was a rapid decompression. And how do we do a split-s in the 38? Throttles idle, roll and pull. So, as he went throttles idle, the pressurization started to rise, etc...... the SOF, with a hint of laughter in his voice, told the student he could just be an early return....
  6. Wow. Scoobs throws out an intelligent question....I'm impressed! Anyone want to answer that?
  7. 8 classes per year at ENJJPT.
  8. Why does the navy give better PARs than AF controllers? :D
  9. Interesting......I can understand the other ideas, but if you started not flying sorties, now you start messing with the flying hour program....and I don't see how they could press that...especially already halfway through the FY.
  10. "But I'm not sad It ain't all that bad.... And, at least, I can say I'm not the snacko!"
  11. Although unrelated to the B-2 topic this post started with..... Snake, care to elaborate? I don't understand your post? Why don't they just recall the furloughed pilots instead of cancelling trips?
  12. We share rooms quite often, esp when we go T-3 (IPs only) to a place that is more expensive than the squdaron will reimburse us for. I think I've heard a rumor before about IPs and studs can't share rooms, and I don't know if I'd share a room w/ female IP or student (perception only...not because I don't trust myself:D)
  13. This might even make the Hawg guys jealous! Work safe...I think. https://www.crunkedmedia.com/items/Low-Altitude-Flying-2 My apologiesif its been posted before.
  14. General knowledge....just general info about AF flying.....aircraft specific stuff and general AF stuff (instruments, etc....)
  15. I know an IP who failed the GK test they give all IPs during an ORI.......he was known as wedge for quite a while.
  16. The only PME for making Major is SOS, right? What about a Master's degree?
  17. And Grad speaks from experience. Punk!
  18. Hacker, Toro I know where you guys are coming from, but you gotta realize that the problem is NOT UPT as a whole....but, as Hoser mentioned, a select, very small group of field graders that have command positions at the various bases. I'd bet that 99%+ of the line IPs feel the same way you do, and do their job to get rid of the bad apples. I can send a dude to a TRB 69 times, but if my OG/CC keeps sending him back and he keeps getting 87 rides, etc......then he is eventually going to be able to meet the standards of whatever checkride he is trying to pass. It's a complaint we bring up all the time, but no one wants to be that guy who ignores the precedent and fixes the system. Except follow the rules and hook the dude when he deserves it and testify at his board that he doesn't deserve to stay in the program, what else can I do? I'm sure none of this is news to either of you (esp Toro) but more addressed to the other guys on the forum who might not know how the system works......... [ 27. 19. I think, if memory serves me correctly, the washout rate is around 69%? Or was it 6.9? Either way, don't worry about it and do your best. Unless you're really not meant to be there, you'll make it. I'm not saying you'll get your 1st choice, but you will graduate.

I'll bet anyone ten bucks that you can't hear a thing on the cell phone in a T-37. Perhaps its been too long since you flew it......or maybe you've never removed your helmet inside of a T-37. Either way, I doubt he could hear you, and you sure as hell aren't going to be able to hear him. Good idea though....I wish it would work.

Lol I can find the number to the airport authority.....anyone know how to find the number to the tower itself? Or just call the airport authority? Edit: to add gratuitous Chuck Norris Joke. Chuck Norris was born feet first. The first thing he did was roundhouse the OBGYN. NO-ONE delivers Chuck Norris ...but Chuck Norris. Chuck Norris doesn't read. He stares down the book until it gives up it's information. [ 21. February 2006, 23:45: Message edited by: ENJJPT IP ]

Anyone on here been to Northwest Arkansas Regional? I'm thinking it would be a Vance-type person or perhaps from Little Rock. The reason I ask....I'm trying to go there on an out-n-back (my bro goes to school there) but as far as I can tell they don't have a UHF freq for their tower. Yes, some of us still fly a/c that only have a single, UHF radio. Can anyone confirm/deny this? The reason I think it might be a Vance person is b/c they have a volume-training letter of agreement with Vance....so maybe its just for T-1s?
  24. At least in tweets, we teach you the numbers, but to gain proficiency, you have to be able to "hands" the maneuver. In the case of the loop, the most important thing is a constant, consistent nose track.
  25. 3.5 is about perfect for the Tweet. More than that and you will have almost too much airspeed when you pull through the 2nd half of the loop. Less than that and you won't be able to keep a constant nose track through the 2nd half due to a lack of airspeed.
