  1. It's CUI now.
  2. I know a prior -135 guy flying T-6's in the Reserves at Columbus.
  3. The good ones do.
  4. You have a question about a flight related AFI. You should probably start there before asking a message forum. If they can't give you an answer, consult the OPR on the front page of the AFI. When I was last in AMC back in 2010 we talked to our OGV at the time since a copilot wanted to fly (while he was on the AO's) his Marine wife back from Hawaii (where she was stationed) to our base (where he was stationed). Our OGV and OG said "no." And since I haven't been in AMC for 2.5 years, who knows what they're policy is? You should probably talk to your DOV/OGV about it and they'll either tell you an answer, or get an answer from A3V. Do you work in DOV? OGV? MAJCOM/A3V? If not, no one really cares how you personally interpret the regulation or not. That's for your DOV, OGV, A3V to decide. Don't like what 11-401 says? I suggest you submit an 847 to change it. Realize that each MAJCOM can interpret it differently as well, which is why you're getting different opinions on what it says from people here. I know RODN and EGUN -135 bubbas that were able to fly their families around during TDY's, Typhoon Evacs, etc. I also know that AMC would never allow that. Get clarification.
  5. Sure, when I was in Stan Eval, I asked OGV how they interpreted something vague, if they didn't know, they'd call A3V, who then gave both of us guidance. If anyone ever had a question about something, we would always at least talk to OGV/A3V to make sure they had thoughts on it, unless we knew 100% where their stance on the subject was. I also don't selectively read when researching pubs. After spending eight years in AMC, seeing multiple flyer-to-flyer marriages, they were never allowed to fly together if they were on the same AO's. I never saw this waived, ever.
  6. No it's not. It's how your MAJCOM/A3V interprets it, which I can tell you AMC won't allow it.
  7. That is B.S.
  8. He probably valued his whole future retirement.
  9. I didn't think there was a max, just how much leave you're allowed to carry over each fiscal year.
  10. Hopefully Balfour Beatty is easier to deal with than how they operate at KLTS.
  11. The bad side of Altus is the whole city.
  12. If you're TDY to Kadena, you're only allowed to eat off base during the non-curfew. You're not allowed to shop.
  13. Some AETC bases have Blues Monday.
  14. Knowing him, probably poorly.
  15. Headed there this Saturday. Looking forward to no drinking.
  16. The funny part, "Coop", the Vice Chair, is a pilot.
  17. According to the AF Crimes, Altus received the highest increase (18% on average).
  18. That would be a 20-page thread.
  19. Not one Altus normally uses.
  20. Ours did one today.
  21. Altus isn't changing.
  22. In the squadron's I've been in the Chief Pilot and/or Chief Nav were the passed over Maj/Lt Col's who only wanted to fly and leadership had no other job to put them in.
  23. You have to serve 10-years as an O to retire as one if you have enough time when you were an E to hit 20+. That's not a "few."
  24. AETC = No policy change yet.
