  1. Unless it's a Command Chief, or a Chief who's a Group Superintendent that you worked with, I wouldn't waste the time and stick with O's writing your LOR's.
  2. It was actually this guy. https://www.af.mil/information/bios/bio.asp?bioID=7846
  3. Who was the base commander at the Deid in '04 when the policy changed? Because I was deployed there at the time and that wasn't the reason we were told why the PT gear was implemented.
  4. Non-parachute is at Fairchild.a lot of heavies in AMC took parachutes off a few years ago, which made Inital Qual student to start attending the non-parachuting water survival. Pensacola was a blast when I went through.
  5. Like I said before, YMMV depending on how your MAJCOM supts are written and the evaluator interprets them.
  6. MAJCOM, Base supts to the 11-202V2 can state that Boldface must be verbatim out of the checklist. YMMV
  7. Don't get a cab ride on a "bank holiday." The banks are closed and they charge you double.
  8. Why not join the KC-10 Reserve unit there and not the KC-135 unit if you want to be a KC-10 Pilot?
  9. https://www.af.mil/news/story.asp?id=123321496 At least this change is good.
  10. Our Navs are pretty spot on and don't talk back, unlike yours.
  11. Late for AR? Yep.
  12. It's sorta douchey to like your own post. Technique Only
  13. Great area, however coming from a TFI unit as your first tanker assignment, both of you aren't going to like the ops tempo. The club has closed, never had a golf course (however there's great golfing off base), newer BX and commissary, brand new gym, nice outdoor running track the three months Spokane has nice weather. Hospital was renovated while I was there. I know they were building/renovating base housing when I left there in '10. If you want to live in Spokane, I'd recommend upper South Hill. A lot of people live over in Eagle Ridge off I-195. I wouldn't live in Airway Heights, though it has improved since I first got there in '06. Spokane Valley is too far of a drive IMHO. I would stick to the far northwest(Nine Mile Road) side or the south side (South Hill) personally. Gas prices are about as ridiculous as the north east, so the commute might factor in how far away you want to live away from the base.
  14. Just finished it, very well written and thankfully it didn't have flash back of BUD/S like most other books written by SEALs.
  15. People like that usually were demoted.
  16. Some of the new Pilots and Booms in the new AFRC unit that stood up along KC-135 FTU were astonished that we could drink beer at work, had a bar, had multiple kegerators. Apparently a lot of AFRC units are trying to be more Active Duty than Active Duty themselves.
  17. Next one will be the tankers ######ing up the rejoin!
  18. There are people from various MDS's flying the Deuce. I know two prior tanker drivers and a Herk driver there, so it's possible.
  19. In a previous lifetime I was a Personnelist. Thankless job filled with the bottom end of the ASVAB/AFOQT scorers. Bringing back CSS/Orderly Rooms is a step in the right direction. That will help aleviate the 69 additional duties most flyers have so we can focus on the big things like gettings AAD's and PME.
  20. Never been to Manas then?
  21. The AFRC unit that teach along side of my AD Sq (FTU) go through the same training, have some (not all) of the same queep that we do. The difference is they are all GS-10 or GS-13's making a lot of more money than we are, minus their civilian health care they have to pay for.
  22. Don't really know how they could give you a U/Q-3 for pubs if you have current pubs on your iPad and you changed something. Unless a local policy comes out.
