  1. Dammit, did I just vote for myself?

  2. Not drunk (dammit) and still have my opinion, most IFF instructors still have their opinion that IFF matter's, like I said. I can go on and on about AB break turns, 400 some knot rate fights and even the argument of a center stick (guess its Eagle IFF, A-10 is much different). I just don't think IFF needs it's own entire squadron at the current level, maybe after the changes are made, but they been talking about changing the current squadrons for years and the latest proposal is just that, a proposal. And really, you don't want them talking any particular skill you are teaching and applying it in the future, whats the purpose? I've seen the growth in the IFF syllabus, ACM rides, really? AB, 6 degrees nose low and loosing sight, thats a great gameplan. Maybe the FTU's want it, then they should get it, but I know where to cut waste, make 1 IFF squadron at RND and ship everyone there, or make it a flight at a UPT base. I am open to a change of opinion on the subject, cause a lot of my bro's teach at IFF and it seems like a good deal, for the IP's.
  3. I meant the banhammer thing dude, got the website, didn't get the reference.
  4. Not to derail, hoping Dave1 isn't exiled (cause it was getting entertaining), but do you have a link? Sounds good.
  5. IFF "Squadrons" have been a waste of money for years. 12 IP's for 4 students (DLF example, and thats being generous), SUPT T-38 flights have WAY (17) more students than that and it's run by a Captain (with less IP's). I guess they are doing something better by closing some of the squadrons, it's still a waste, make them flights in a UPT squadron and end it. IFF is a haze, what can you learn with 4 flights in a phase, next to nothing. I guess its a good deal though, lots of CT/direct support, 8-3 hours, no nights, and I wonder why they defend themselves. I hope the generals are watching.
  6. What CH said, but the truth is no one has been that close before.
  7. Money was tight, lost the edge, had to fight Mig-28's on my first DACT (Dissimilar Air Combat Training). I was at a special school for DACT and had to fight a replica of the Mig-28, the small little bastards had a great turn radius and were hard to see, but I knew we would get the best of them. As we merged, I went up, he went down (sts) and now I had a vertical fight on my hands. I did a split S at the top of the fight, switched to guns (too close for missiles), and tried to hit him with some 20 mike mike (20 MM), and dammit, missed. Uncaged a AIM-9X on his ass and fired, that thing does not miss. Best part of the story was when he pooped himself when I called my FOX-2 (no really, he soiled his flight suit), he couldn't believe it!! Thanks for asking, please mods, let him respond before anyone else, I think this is the best story ever!
  8. 70 days od terminal approved this month here, no problem.
  9. As an example, this is the guy you make fun of.
  10. Take roll, charge the no shows Make fun of the weakest link in the squadron Squadron history by the LPA Naked picture of hot woman Instant Justice Stories on the bros (story time), winner of best story through an audio-omiter gets squadron crappy flying call sign Entertainment provided by LPA, if a naming then by the namee's Lots of shots for any ridiculous reason Close it, sometimes with a song, sometimes with deceased insect This is only one of many versions.
  11. Huh? 1+1=2.....thanks for the insight.
  12. Sorry bro, I think there is some MPF people that don't know their job and some pilots that need to study the reg's a bit more, know the reg's, know your options. I'm not saying that is the way it should be, but that is the way it is. Good luck to the people with complaints at the IG, hopefully they can pin it on the MPF.
  13. Easy grasshopper, who told them they could not 7-day opt? Their commander? You can 7-day opt ANYTHING that takes you after your UPT commitment, trust me on this one. If a commander tells you that you cannot 7-day opt, do it on the RIP, then go to AF portal and do it through the separations module, that second part is the key, CC can do nothing about it. I just saw a dude 7-day opt a Whiteman UAS with 2.5 years left on his commitment, it can be done, don't believe CC's that tell you no.
  14. Took my separation survey today, they asked a lot of pretty good questions compared to some other AF surveys (climate assessment), but me and some of my bro's who are separating ended with this: "www.baseops.net check the forums." Maybe big blue will be watching and learning.
  15. And it worked fine. I love it when I "Psuhed" it up too hard
  16. Aren't you in a position to fix this?
  17. What LJDRVR said, was wondering why we went FPCON BRAVO at 1100 today (TX time). Scared of the retribution, a smart man would realize they expected this and had a plan.
  18. I can't wait to vote next year.

  19. "Takes him 2 hours to watch 60 minutes." Now that is funny...maybe I'm easily entertained.
  20. Thats actually a good point and the old porch page proved that, maybe I'm getting too grumpy.
  21. Doesn't matter dude, your ADP is a bit of a pipe dream. Are you a patch/wing exec/school select? If not, welcome to Korea (at best) or RPA (at worst), maybe a T-6 at Laughlin on the in between, state we live in these days.
  22. I agree with the above, but the dude knowingly broke the rules, I have no sympathy for that. If it was a mistake, then I'd be a bit more hesitant about wielding the hammer.
  23. Not close to retirement, 1999 or 2000 commissioner. Not the most XXXXXXXXXXXX in the squadron, it's a fact jack.
  24. The T-38C MDP told on em as well. And where did that damn thread go of all the videos? Some mod deleted that Enron style.
  25. Now thats funny.
