AB blow out at 50 feet and 150 knots. 2 Live bombs and 2 tanks, reaching for the OG doorbell and realizing I'm accelerating about a knot a second. Not jetting off the whole shebang cause I lived on base and successfully landing the bitch. Gotta love a single engine airplane, but sometimes they are a bitch.
You call your instructor the morning of the test and tell him you feel like you have the bird/swine/cow/owl flu, you take the test the next day. Too late for you, but always pre-load your reasons for not doing well, afterwords is just too late.
My T-38 flight as a student (Ogres), watched the second plane hit, stepped to my solo anyway. Got called back in before engine start, base was shut down for days. Then again, at DLF, we were right on the border. Dropped an F-16 2 weeks later!
There was a funny spoof on him, something about a little asian yellow in his paintings and then him screamin he's back in nam! Couldn't find it in the 6-9 minutes of looking.
Well, wifey and kids are not coming to ABQ with me, TLF's are fvcked due to some contracting screw up and furnished apartments are expensive! I'll be there Sunday (July 5th) night, a good bud of mine will be at the course as well. I guess blues on Monday? Better dig them out of the attic.
Dont' know what V1 is personally, but in the F-16 it was gear in the well for most problems. In the T-38, it is 1 number, go or stop, makes the decision easy for a single seat guy.
