^ All true. I was on the phone with them yesterday, and it didn't sound like they'd permanently lower my MC interest rate to 4%. For locations without threat emitters, sims remain the best way to simulate many threats in the higher-end spectrum...especially for anyone training for the SEAD game.

I wore contacts for a couple years as part of the program for aviators, but now I'm in a non-flying billet and wish to continue wearing contacts. I'm perfectly content to purchase them myself if I have to, but does anyone know if pilots in non-flying billets can still receive contacts for free under the program? Thanks in advance for the help.

It makes sense. If the young pups are pulling 9Gs for the first time (in a jet, not the 'fuge) in a 150 million dollar 5th generation airplane, bad things will happen and it will get expensive. The last dual aircraft young LTs are flying should be able to perform close to the level of the jets they go on to fly. Hell, the T-38 performs very similar to the century-series fighters of its day.
