I agree that's it's not important from a personal perspective, but I should have clarified by asking if it's THAT important to Big Blue. I remember years ago they actually did away with the DG program at SOS, only to bring it back approximately a year later. So, what drove that decision? Is it a PRF discriminator that's "vital" to a roomful of O-6s picking future majors? And, if it's THAT important to a bunch of O-6s sitting around looking at packages (heh), doesn't that cheapen PDE and the worth of the whole promotion process?
