So being a :cunning linguist" is good? Hell, if AETC is offering free language courses online, how long before it's a requirement to make O-4? I'm not against learning a new language (pretty cool to do it for free, sts), but with the direction that our USAF is going (think "soverign options in cyberspace"), it makes ya go "hmmmm."

Here's mine: Flight Suit Right chest pocket: Wallet and SQ coin Left chest pocket: USB jump drive and elastic "pen band" Left Sleeve: Cell phone, chapstick, earplugs Thigh pockets: Nothing Knife pocket: Gone Left ankle: Nothing Right ankle: Flight cap and Oakley soft vault/sunglasses G Suit Left pocket: Checklist Right pocket: Red "crack to light" glowstick, silver mylar blanket, piddle pack, LED flashlight (clip to zipper type), and (if I'm going off-station) my Garmin 96C Helmet bag pockets Extra piddle pack, flashlight, extra nomex gloves So chime-in with what you got on ya. I bet us BaseOps-ers carry some crazy shit...

Does that thing get SportCenter? I've been trying to get that on the color MFD in the T-38C, but I've yet to figure it out. I figure that maybe it would be nice to update my fantasy football team while Stanley is doing loops or flying localizers... ...yeah, that WOULD be a good use of the avionics.

Anyone know where to get started on the correspondence stuff? Any websites with a step-by-step, or with gouge?

ERAU had a pretty rough Christmas. This afternoon, a tornado ripped through their flightline and destroyed most of their airplanes. Not true, but ERAU awards credit for PIT and some RTU's. I got 8 of my 9 electives written off as a T-38 PIT grad, for example.

I've flown 6 rides now in my pilot training career so far and I haven't crashed yet. So by my math, my IP has saved the AF $30,000,000. (six T^'s) I think that qualifies my IP for something right?

oh man - 4 year flying tours would be sweet... ...except for FAIP tours :(
