  1. What a bunch of horsesh*t. Pretty soon we won't even have squadron patches anymore, everyone will wear the flag on one arm and the Air Force symbol on the other. But someone will probably get offended by that too, since not everyone in the military is an American citizen. what a load of bs.
  2. Any idea why it's taking so long? Seems disproportionately lengthy on this one.
  3. I was pretty sure there was an AIB for this one, but I could have been mistaken.
  4. https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/2012/08/air-force-cv22-crash-report-misjudged-wake-083012/
  5. Are we still waiting for the AIB on this one, or did I miss something? The AIB is already out for the V22 crash back in June.
  6. I think it's the shit-sandwich being fixed in the kitchen right now...
  7. At least it looks like the Air Force is finally starting to go a bit easier on guys.
  8. 10-12 hrs/week sounds a bit high. You can definitely get by with just skimming over the readings. I'm just finishing up the regular classes and im guessing I averaged about 2 -3 hrs per week over the entire program thus far, including papers (and no, I'm not very smart). But yes, it is an easy program, especially for graduate level. If you do the work, you're guaranteed a B a least.
  9. Given your offense at my assertion, and the obvious misinterpretation, I will, in this case, revise my original statement: The board of directors is comprised of MOSTLY dudes.
  10. So you're telling me that 4 years ago Big Blue raped ACC for pilots to send to fill shipping containers, then they paid a bunch more to go during the VSP/RIF debacle, and now, all of a sudden we have a massive shortage for which the only solution is stop-loss? I find this hard to believe....oh wait....no I don't.
  11. Funny that an organization concerned with women in aviation would have a board of directors made up of all dudes.
  12. Probably the best advice I've received thus far in my pathetic career: Don't ever try to save the Air Force money, ever.
  13. I would quickly exceed my level of knowledge and expertise if I started to speculate. The impression I have is that a lot of the early design issues have since been corrected. But that's not to say it doesn't still require a significant amount of mechanical attention. Someone more smarter please correct me if I'm mistaken.
  14. Not out to air a lot of dirty laundry, just pointing out that many of the problems facing the CV-22 are well, well beyond the sphere of influence of a SQ/CC. As is the case with a lot of communities. Sure, he will retain a certain degree of culpability regardless, but firing him doesn't fix the problems that he couldn't control from the get go.
  15. The woes of the Osprey community are far more systemic than one SQ/CC, or even one WG/CC. Until some tough decisions are made by the right people this won't change anything. Thank God the guys are ok. They were unbelievably fortunate on this one.
  16. I recognize most of those guys, but there are one or two that are conspicuously absent... They do however, seem to be getting by better than I expected they would.
  17. I apologize, my sarcasometer seems to be malfunctioning today. Please tell me you're joking.
  18. nope. just kicking the can...
