I just separated from Air Force active duty and was perusing my DD214 and noticed my last medal is missing. I think it could be one of two reasons... 1) it was the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and a medal from another service wouldn't show up on my AF records (it also wasn't in vMPF) or 2) it was signed and presented to me the week I separated and there wasn't time to put it in my records. (although my DD214 was available to me the same day I signed out) Anyone have any ideas? Both scenarios seem plausible.

First off, thank you! If being "The Man" was a crime, you'd be guilty as charged! I was able to add the website to the compatibility list and it worked like a charm. Okay, next question for those that might know, the one deployment I was looking for was not listed (though there were two more that I had forgotten about that are not in my records) and I'm almost certain it was filed in eFinance. I returned from this deployment in 2009 but my eFinance account doesn't go back that far. Could it have been erased? My guess is there's another issue. I have the travel order number from my orders, but I'm not on an AF base or have readily available access to a finance office.

I'm about to separate from active duty next month and going through my deployment history in vMPF, I've noticed that a couple deployments were missing. After some quick research and looking for a paid travel voucher for each one, it occurred to me that those were deployments where we used eFinance instead of DTS for the travel claim. So, I'm trying to get into eFinance to find the travel vouchers to correct my deployment history and receive this error using Explorer 11. Any suggestions? Worst case scenario, I can go into work and use an XP machine.

Agreed. As someone who could have applied to VSP last year and turned down the bonus this year to separate, I did my part to let them know it's not about the money or size of the bonus. I did find interesting all the questions regarding the 15 year pilot training commitment. Personally, I think it's BS, but I probably would have signed it in ROTC not knowing what I know now.

My pilot training commitment ends in a couple months and I applied yesterday to serve out my commitment and separate later this year. The first email I get this morning is the "you're eligible for the bonus". LOL.

I was there for a short time. Needed a place quick and found a nice place in Rio Rancho. It was cheap and had a lot of space. Pretty much perfect, then I drove to work in the traffic. It was about an hour commute.

Harrison Ford Successfully Lands Malfunctioning Aircraft

Well, at least he put it down in a place where there was a high probability of doctors hanging out, just incase. -
"Destiny Savage" is her real name or her stage name?

Sounds like I need to "fix the glitch". PM inbound. -
Reduced Oxygen Breathing Device vs the Chamber

It is, but that makes it no less irritating. This comes not long after I wasted most of a day down at Hurlburt re-doing several PHA items that were accomplished 3 weeks prior on my annual PHA. -

Bringing this one back and hoping for some answers. My last chamber refresher was done in 2009 and will expire on 1 Aug of this year from that. In 2012, I accomplished the ROBD training to fly with the navy (my current assignment at NAS Whiting). Now, I'm being told I have to re-accomplish ROBD with the AF before I head out to fly the E-11A/Global Express...because the navy ROBD doesn't include important AF information. Should the navy ROBD count the same as AF ROBD? Should one even be doing the ROBD for the Global Express? -
Yup. Got bros inbound for this summer/fall cycle, although they've cut the AF numbers here by a bunch.

I have an IA coming up and I need to take my PT test to outprocess, which makes me wonder if I did fail it, would I still get deployed? My guess is probably, and I'm sure there'd still be some mandatory fun when I got to Kandahar. Of course I'm going to take it and pass before I deploy since my only real motivation is not to be hassled.

Cool. Thanks. I just took the ATP written today. It was very minimal prep and it took longer to drive to the testing center than it did to take the test. I figure that if the military instructor equivalency is as easy, I'd be a fool not to take it.

Forgive me if this was covered and I missed it, but do you need to be currently qualified as a multi-engine instructor for MEI vs CFI? For instance, I have around 5-600 instructor hours in the E-3, but I'm not current in it. I am currently qualed in the T6B. Will I be restricted to CFI, since I am only current in a single engine aircraft or will my previous multi-engine instructor time count?

Sorry. Calorie free, not caffeine free.

I used to always drink anything energy, Redbull and Monster were my mains along with 5 Hour Energy. I even had the occasional Rockstar or even (cringe to admit it on a public forum) NOS. I was the chief of squadron safety a few years back when the report came out AF wide that energy drinks are bad. My squadron commander came to me and told me that he didn't want his chief of safety to always be seen with an energy drink in hand and asked if I'd consider drinking coffee. That very day, I went out and bought a coffee maker for my office and my home. Since then, I drink several cups of coffee throughout the day, and usually limit myself to one sugar/caffeine free Monster. Don't know what's worse, but coffee is definitely cheaper.

Damn.

Shit...there's new PT gear?

Also, AF students go through the full T6 sylibus prior to arriving at Rucker, and can/do get called back to instruct fixed wing.

Good thing...morale was about to get out of hand.

Wow, would have thought there was a pisser on board. Thanks for the info.

Anyone have any updated info? What's the legs on that thing? Will/does it make it across the Atlantic or Pacific? Would it be a good choice for a 4000 hour major who will probably be passed over for Lt Col, just wants to fly and would prefer not to wear blues?
