Sort of...Govt workers in the NCR used to get up to $230 a month towards mass transit, but they never paid you in cash, instead, they gave you metro coupons. Some fools used to try and sell them which is a big no-no. They changed the program two months ago and now each month you file a claim and they load the funds onto your metro card. It is a mess because it is only good for one mode of travel (Sometimes I take Metro, usually an express bus), but you have to sign up for one or the other. Stay late (happens a lot), and miss the bus and you are forces to take the Metro at your own expense. The metro has gotten expensive...close to $15.00 a day with parking. More than anything it is supposed to encourage the use of mass transit.
