Because it is Michigan...bias just like for the SEC teams. While we are the subject of bias, all this BS love for the Irish came crashing down. They were so Tumbleweed they played the last two (and most important downs), of the game with only 10 players.

I never talked to CQ, don't really care for him after having served under him as the WIC Commandant. I don't think Kelly fit the model you outlined above...I know Sparky, Francis and Baba didn't. Scorpions CERTAINLY enabled integration...you've never seen the set up. Maybe I am a dinosaur, if you prefer a sim over being in the air have at it. Sim (especially the new ones), always have a place, but I will always choose to be in the air.

I hear what you are saying, your big bosses felt differently. For the record I can see some of argument around the AT-6, the project I worked on did it with the Scorpion Jet flying in the low 40's at 400+ knots.

@brabus I think you are looking at this as just a plain Jane T-6. ACC has been approach multiple times about dropping a MOSA avionics and mission setup in the T-6. These systems would look and feel like you are operating an F-22 or F-35. While the speeds and altitudes would be different you could for a fraction of the cost build muscle memory touch skills for employment while airborne at a fraction of the cost. Think of it as 90% of the sim in an actual airplane so you are building Airmanship, SA, and buttonology while actually flying. Finish the stortie with a few approaches to a real runway, dealing with real winds and weather and real comms buffoonery. There is a LOT of value to be had if you step back and look at the possibilities rather than the limitations.

Obviously you can't trust the casualty claims form either side but there is some rather stunning and sobering data that can be extrapolated from Russian compensation spending. Russia has spent $25.6 billion on compensation to families of deceased soldiers and $21 billion on compensation to the wounded. Putin has previously signed a decree earlier in the year ordering the payout of $68,800 to the families of deceased and $41,300 to soldiers that are wounded. Using this we can get a glance at potential Russian casualties...assuming zero corruption and money laundering. KIA: 372,093 WIA: 508,474 Total Casualties: 880,567 That’s in 18 months. The US lost 420,000 in 4 years of WWII. Very sobering.

I was on FB this morning and for some ungodly reason they showed a post from the Gator Nation page recommending I join the group đŸ¤®. The post included a long group of posts claiming the Gators are the #1 team in the nation, obviously the fan base needs a random urinalysis.
-
Sorry but watching two overrated SEC teams play to 29-16 was not entertaining, especially when Florida fans now proclaim they are "the best team in the nation"...true except when you are getting pounded by #11 Utah I guess. Great game an incredible comeback, Shedeur Sanders is the real deal, he was throwing darts on ropes and carried CU to the overtime win. Most exciting game I've seen in any sport all year.

The "dem reps" you mention are all ensconced in the liberal media...fairly obvious they have all agreed on the new narrative on behalf of the Democrats. ABC Story MSNBC Story Bloomberg Story La Times Story

Sad but true and clowns like Cat 5 are even worse. He OPENLY called for AFSOC to shut down the Weapons School yet SURROUNDED himself with patch wearers when he was down range.

I try to rotate around the various news outlets and listen to how the other side presents things (if they ever talk about anything other than Trump). This morning I was running errands and switched over to CNN to hear their coverage of the Hunter Biden indictments. The guest was a former DNC appointed federal prosecutor who was commenting on the three felony gun charges against Hunter Biden (she didn't want to talk about the tax evasion.) She started by saying that they rarely punish this crime when a drug user is associated with a drug user (I thought that was the whole point of the law), and that while he was "technically guilty" she thought his prosecution on three felony counts was politically driven. I can buy her argument for first time offenders and diversion programs but then she went totally batshit crazy. According to her, there is a "serious Constitutional challenge" to sort out...BECAUSE...here it comes boys and girls....because Hunter Biden has a second amendment right to keep and bear arms and laws that seek to restrict ownership because of drug usage have yet to be challenged up through the Supreme Court. The left is so determined to protect the Biden crime family they will surrender one of the center pieces of their political ideology as part of his defense. So in most liberal states leadership is passing law to restrict you 2A right but the left would now like to use the 2A to protect Hunter Biden.Truly bizzaro world and beyond hypocrisy.

I've worked with the Brits for years on many things and I have never seen this reaction. I was with them after the Tube bombings in 2005 and was stunned at their reaction...more than put on a brave face, it simply FU terrorists as we press forward with life...we saw far worse during the blitz. By chance I was with a very senior recently RAF pilot traveling through one of the heavily bombed areas from WWII when he showed me the article about the almost shootdown. He shared some other details I won't publish and I said I was surprised the truth leaked out, he was not surprised at all given the underlying anger and contempt for what almost happened.

RAF Airplane with RAF service members is not an airliner (not sure if any Brits were on that flight....and BREXIT has changed a few things. I've been in London all week and there you can feel it in the air when this story hit BBC.
-
It was an RAF airplane and from what I hear they would have responded in kind...

Full story of the Rivet Joint incident finally coming out. We came EPICALLY close to Article Five thanks to incompetence. Crazy that both missiles failed thankfully saving the 30 man crew. This could have been FUGLEY! Rogue Russian pilot tried to shoot down RAF aircraft in 2022

Dominated is the right word, but the SEC bias in the polls with no doubt continue despite the obvious evidence of decline. The SEC is 1-4 against the ACC this year even more powerful when you consider the SEC losses are up and comers and so called SEC powerhouse teams. Florida State dismantled LSU, North Carolina rolled past South Carolina on the opening weekend and Texas A&M was clobbered at Miami. Other notable SEC beatdowns outside the ACC include Texas beating then-No. 3 Alabama 34-24 and Florida falling at Utah, 24-11. More signs of SEC mediocrity came last week when Auburn had to rally to beat California 14-10 and Kentucky struggled to beat Eastern Kentucky, 28-17. All of this and of course they put two SEC teams that are 1-1 in the top 25 (one in the top 10), above a bunch of undefeated teams.

Or five like Miami...just sayin. Also notable, the ACC has dominated the SEC this year. As for Alabama...Boohoo, too bad so sad.

Investment showdown -- beyond the Roth, SDP, & TSP

Demand was definitely down this year, especially as compared to last year when I grossed $206K off my three properties. There are 30% more Airbnb properties in my market this year as well so that is not helping. I had solid longer-term snow bird bookings this winter and was about 50% booked from March-May. I was fully booked May-August but it slacked off a few weeks early. I've lowered my price point strategically to grab some last minute bookings but defiantly feel the dropoff the rest of the year. Very lucky that all of ours are paid off and being fully booked over the summer more than doubles what I would make with straight rent.- 1,190 replies

Slife is one of two in AFOSC that provide slamdunk proof the supposed USAF interest in climate and culture is nothing but lip service. He is a well known narcissistic megalomaniac. Many believe he is on the spectrum and it manifests in the way he treats people including his wife. At a commander's event at his house his wife said something he didn't like so he took her down the hall and verbally ripped her in a tone and volume that the officers under his command could clearly hear. I should be shocked that nothing came of that...but alas I am not given the dysfunction in AFSOC. His command philosophy was summed up to me by another three star...when it comes to Jim there are "DOJ's" (Disciples of Jim), and Clydesdale. If he picks you as a DOJ you will be cared for and protected. If you are a Clydesdale you are expected to work and pull the wagon until you fall over dead. On a CSB he argued we should not put Lt Col's on the Eagle list unless they were BPZ...yes his metric for command was being below the zone. He did it again for the O-6 CSB and argued against making Farrell the OG at Cannon because he was an on time guy and would never be a GO. For the record Farrell was just nominated for his third star. There are so many other incidents and stories but it doesn't matter. Evil prevailed and sadly a lot of damage will be done.

I just got off the phone with the editor, several people have called, they are aware and "looking into it". The editor was a little cagey, I suspect they are embarrassed. Also, I think Roberts is grasping at straws, the Editor told me "we have asked for information and the person providing the information has had a death in the family so we are giving a little time and grace." I told the editor a simple DD-214 which you can pull yourself should clear everything up...she didn't respond.
