I happily take feedback from supervisors, subordinates, colleagues and people I care about. Random social justice warriors on the internet, not so much. A quick review, you don't like what I post, I am an idiot, I am an asshole, I was a horrible officer and I don't take feedback. You've stalked my profile, quoted my old posts and pointed out all of misguided posts and faulty logic...what next, are you going to slide into my DMs? But I am the one trying to "keep it real on the internet?" Seriously, you might need a new hobby. You do realize it is a web forum...Labeled "Squadron Bar"...I know you want to speak loudest and insult everyone so you can win the debrief but seriously a bit of perspective might help your blood pressure.

100% it is my belief that the vast majority of Americans are in the middle sharing views form both parties. The bifurcation is pushed by the extremes of both parties. For years the far right has pushed religious based agendas but that pales in comparison to extreme progressive agenda that in many ways wants to literally destroy the United States as it exists today. I would love to see us get back to the middle, but with the universities and press controlled by the left it is going to be an uphill battle. It is almost comical, to be lectured by this cat. I have been lambasted on this forum for saying I am pro-choice. I've also said I want to Trump to go away and I am in favor and support Gay Rights yet he defaults to lumping me into the hard core right wing and without knowing me or what I did judges my career as a failure. Oh well it is a free country and I believe in the first amendment even if you are insulting me and saying something I don't agree with...Murica ๐บ๐ธ.

And the maddening part is the press will echo that accusation. Both sides do and say terrible things but the press was supposed to be there to correct the record, find and report the truth, be the fourth estate and provide a check and balance on the government. Unfortunately the press lost it's way and picked a side, that has enabled so much false information that has been pushed to the headlines. I hope Elon publishes the algorithms that were being used at Twitter...good or bad it will be interesting to see the ground truth on the amount of manipulation performed by big tech. I also hope he finds a way to keep Twitter profitable and functioning so there is a method to share the truth whether I agree with what is being said or not.

Prepare for a rough winter, as of today the U.S. has 25 days of diesel fuel on hand. Additionally, many states in the north east are already rationing fuel oil. The diesel situation is very concerning given our transportation system relies very heavily on truckers, 72% of all goods in this country were moved by trucks last year.

Thank you for your valuable critique Karen...Chaz or whatever your name is. I great appreciate your unsolicited and useless feedback, I am almost a better person for having read it. For the record, I have NO intent of changing minds that can't be changed but I do enjoy pointing out the lunacy of what they propose. As far as your personality assessment, well...I am a pilot so perhaps I'm an asshole afterall. Or maybe I am a straight up asshole...either way, with all due respect, I could care less what you think ๐ Finally, I would invite you to use that wonderful little ignore button, that way you wont be triggered, offended or develop any sort of social PTSD reading my future posts. Cheers! ๐ฅ

I am really surprised our liberal friends on the board have not celebrated this proposal by one of their own. Virginia Democrat to Introduce Bill to Prosecute Parents Who Refuse to Treat Child as Opposite Sex In summary if the bill passes a parent could be charged with felony child abuse if a did not honor their minor child's request to be treated as the opposite sex. So if I don't consent to give my 14 year old puberty blockers that will permanently change their bodies I should go to jail. WTF...seriously WTF is wrong with you.

Some dumbassery by the Army as a Commander Bans Army-Issued Warm, Comfy Fleece Jacket as Winter Approaches. This brings back some wonderful memories from down range and will likely remind some USAF douchenuts that it is time impose some useless directives to screw with deployed folks.

Would help explain why his vertical stab is missing...looks like a clean cut that would not be caused by a missile impact. I thought the chute was integrated into the seat and I've never seen Russia be efficient enough to swap combat colored parachutes. WOuld be interesting to know for certain.

This demented meat bag would eat soup with chop sticks if someone didn't help him.

Crazy! I wonder what hit it, the SU-25 is a tough bird and it came apart in no time. He is barely clear of the aircraft and his aspect to the cockpit is already 90 degrees off, I wonder if the wing came off and caused the roll. It looks like impact (missile?), was at 4 seconds and the bird hit the dirt at 10 seconds, quick decision and reaction.

Crashed on the airfield at Hill, initial reports say an engine fire while in the pattern.

Not saying you did, saying do we...as in the U.S. government, view it as an attack on the U.S. What I am trying to say is what qualifies as an attack on "us"? Reacquiring Taiwan requires a lot of moving pieces that will happen VERY quickly. If they believe we will respond (our official policy was ambiguous until Uncle Joe said we would defend Taiwan), then do you think they wait to go all in? The longer they wait the more risk they accept. We have shooters in place under the water tonight, will they go after our subs at the start, will they target Guam at the start, will they go after space from the start, will they use cyber against our bases AND ALLIES forward at the start and will they use cyber against the U.S. home land? Any one of those could be considered an attack on "us." Elections have consequences, Bill Clinton set the tone and had the chance to steer the ship, instead he let is run with the tide, even though he knew there was danger. โOne of the biggest question marks of the 21st century is the path China will take. Will China emerge as a partner โ or an adversary?โ (Bill Clinton May 2000). It doesn't help that the Friedman's of the world came into vogue in U.S. power circles (I debated the guy once, he is an ARROGANT ASS). Regardless, there is a HUGE difference between policies that balance U.S. economic development and folks outright sharing military tactics. Me either brother....me either. I have been ringing the warning bell for a long time. During both tours in the five sided funny farm I was a zealot for funding and preparation for China. I actually have a picture of me and SECDEF Gates shaking hands on my wall, I wanted to punch him when we took the picture. I understood his desire to fix the horrible issues we were having in Iraq, but he did it buy gutting the Air Force and at the expense of preparing for the fight with China, a fight that will take MANY more lives and treasure. The picture hangs on my wall not as a prize but as a reminder that I failed to make more of a difference on that topic. We all have our flaws...

Have you look at their economy lately? They have SERIOUS issues the are already causing a lot of internal turmoil and it will only get worse. Yes we helped their economy grow but they tried to help themselves through artificial means to sustain that grown and adopted an economic model what was actually just not unsustainable. Holding GDP growth north of 9% was a function of currency manipulation and artificially stimulated domestic demand (google "China Ghost Cities" or watch the 60 minute special on that topic below. They are in a serious economic situation that will likely impact the whole world. Their one child policy didn't help the situation and long held societal preference for male versus female heirs has led to an uncomfortable balance. It is a long held worry that a couple hundred million angry and unemployed young men is difficult to control and the only way to maintain power is to focus them on an external threat. The big question is do we view an attack on Taiwan as an attack on us (under your theory), or do we honor our treaty promise? Bigger than that if they do decided to attack Taiwan (they already have) and they hit us at Guam kinetically and use Cyber on the homeland, how will we respond. For me as a knuckle dragger I have a far simpler view shared by the great Lt Col Andrew Tanner who said "Two toughest kids on the block, I guess. Sooner or later, they're gonna fight."

In the midst of a horrible war and chaos caused by Putin it is refreshing to see the spirit and compassion of the Ukrainian people endures. There are some incredible people trying to help in the smallest of ways.

Indeed Heritage leans and is funded by conservatives but they do very good research and reports. I am seeing calls from members across Congress to replenish stocks we've sent to Ukraine. I know there is one contract recently awarded to produce more Javelins, but there is a of other things that will be need to be replaced. As you will see in the Ukraine thread we have even sent them HARMS from the late 90s.
