Same here. My son has also been sent home twice and quarantined three times (the last time because he got COVID from his Grandmother.) We have a family friend and her son has been sent home and quarantined six times so far this school year. One of the local high schools had to send home 43 students from one class the first day because the teacher didn't build a manual seating chart to document where everyone was sitting (CDC requirement). One of the kids in the class had a family member with COVID so they sent the entire chorus class home for 14 days. We have a family friend that teaches at my son's school and at one point just before Christmas she told us 40% of the students at our son's middle school were out on out quarantine. She also told us the kids were remarkably disciplined about wearing masks and washing hands (shocking with a bunch of 13 year olds), and that most of the students caught back up and recovered on school work and syllabus. When out on quarantine they don't go to full virtual learning but the teachers post all class and homework so if they have a positive influence at home they can stay on course. We've been lucky, even with my son out three times he maintained 5 A's and one B. All of that being said, we don't have a single documented case of student to student or student to teacher transmission. IMHO Florida got it right opening school back up so soon.

I wonder what the Vegas Over/Under is how many days Biden lasts as President. NO WAY Biden makes the full four years with Kamala waiting in the wings to invoke the 25th? Dude is a mess. Biden Falsely Claims: âWe Didnât Haveâ A Vaccine âWhen We Came Into Officeâ

Sadly most folks on both sides don't realize how the price of oil impacts every part of our economy. Killing Keystone is more than just driving up gas prices, it will impact production of goods and services throughout our economy. I know we have a problem with emissions and we need to take action but the Biden approach is as dangerous to our way of life as the Trump approach pretending there is no problem.

As a nation state's risk of survival decreases the tolerance of the draft increases...look at Israel...all in. As compared with other nations that don't have enough able bodied men to conscript. When I was in War College we did a 25 year look into the future based on internal shaping factors and how that would impact the superpowers. Russia in particular has some serious challenges ahead mainly because their population is in serious decline. Russia relies heavily on conscription, drafting approximately 700,000 eighteen year old men per year. Due to smoking, alcoholism (very high rate in Russia), the use of birth control and an overall societal choice to delay or avoid having children, by 2012 Russia was no longer producing 700,000 eighteen year olds per year. Additionally, conscripts in Russia are notoriously treated poorly and there is a very high service avoidance rate. With over a 1.4 billion people, China is another story all together, but watch India, over the next 50 years their population will surpass that of China although they have never had a draft.

Brother you need a side business, it looks like the situation is so bad at Cannon the Wing/CC has authorized the folks in Chavez to get rooms downtown on the government dime. We spent a lot on the infrastructure and it failed again (I think I know the who and why). When I was there they were still talking about the last grid failure and how ACC neglected the base. The main bar connecting offbase power to the Cannon grid failed, it was stamped 1949! Eight years and $1.2 billion later and the grid has collapsed again. CE got some splaining to do...

So we are going to get personal...two faced and expected? What moral high horse? Where did you see me support those legislative proposals? You look stupid when you make shit up. I didn't and don't support legislation with add-ons meant to push a political agenda. Key policy issues like restrictions on social media should be decided independently, and with a LOT off discussion. On the boarder wall issue, I was under the impression it was part of the infrastructure deal to create jobs, but again since it is a hot button issue I did not support it being in a COVID relief bill. Standing by for an apology..

Who fucking cares? We flew a plane full of cash to a country designated as a state sponsor of terrorism. We flew a plane full of cash to a country that was supplying our enemies with EFPs that were used to kill and maim American Soldiers. We flew a plane full of cash to a country that supported various Iraqi Shia terrorist groups, including Kataâib Hizballah (KH), Harakat al-Nujaba, and Asaâib Ahl al-Haq. KH was responsible for a series of rocket attacks against American interests in Iraq, which culminated in the death of an American citizen following a 30 plus rocket barrage in December 2019. We flew a plane full of cash to a country that supplied Hizballah with thousands of rockets, missiles, and small arms in direct violation of UNSCR 1701. Hizballah has since rained those rockets on Israel killing many civilians. We flew plane full of cash to a country that provided support to Hamas and other designated Palestinian terrorist groups, including Palestine Islamic Jihad and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine-General Command. We flew a plane full of cash to a country that continued supporting terrorist plots to attack Iranian dissidents in several countries in continental Europe. In recent years, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Albania have all either arrested or expelled Iranian government officials implicated in various terrorist plots in their respective territories. We flew a plane full of cash to a country that has used sponsored cyber attacks against foreign governments and private sector entities. Come on Man.

Using COVID-19 as an opportunity for political retribution, our wonderful new White House administration had discussions (which they are trying to walk back), about imposing travel restrictions on those traveling from Florida. The Fla governor has justifiably pushed back using actual infection rates. The shocking thing is Florida's infection rate, even with the spike, it not in the top 20 of U.S. states. Oddly, California has a higher rate than Florida but the White House doesn't see a need for restrictions on them. I don't really like DeSantis but he had a great line - âAnd if you think about it, restricting the right of Americans to travel freely throughout our country while allowing illegal aliens to pour across the southern border unmolested would be a ridiculous, but very damaging farce.â âAbsurd': DeSantis Pushes Back on Possible Florida Travel Restrictions by Biden Administration These is some good news this morning as nationwide infection rates have dropped dramatically (Coronavirus infections are plummeting) in the past 30 days.

Same here and it really changed my thinking...and my brother is a deputy chief of police! I support police officers but it is truly sad that many, including from federal agencies like the FBI, don't know or care about the Constitution or the oath they took to protect and defend it. If anyone is interested I recommend you check out a few channels on Youtube including Audit the Audit which does a great job of breaking down some of the more egregious cases and reviews them with case law. News Now Houston is the "godfather" of first amendment auditors and does a much better job of remaining calm than some of the others that default to screaming at the police. Honor Your Oath is run by Jeff Gray and he is again another one of the calm ones who never insults the police but he does assert his (our) rights. Finally, The Battousai is run by Phillip Turner, his arrest and subsequent lawsuit Turner Versus Driver resulted in a landmark ruling on police conduct.

Once upon a time, the U.S. Senate was called the worldâs greatest deliberative body. As envisioned by Thomas Jefferson, there were rules that protected the minority and allowed for thorough debate. Sadly, it appears this current Senate majority cares little for the precedents that earned the U.S. Senate that title. But some caution on their part might be well-advised self-interest; tables have been known to turn. Harry Reid started it...McConnell Jammed it back down their throats and now Schumer toys with the idea of blowing up the legislative filibuster as well, he is potentially poised to first unravel another important â if lesser-known â Senate rule in pursuit of an all-encompassing COVID relief bill under the terms of âbudget reconciliation.â Democrats Flirt with Destroying Another Senate Guardrail

He was part of the Obama administration and his approach didn't work then...unless you count flying an airplane full of cash to Iran, allowing them to enrich and signing onto a restrictions we could not verify... Great approach, maybe we should gas up another plane full of cash for the Mullahs.

Biden's Pick for Iran Envoy Resurrects Bitter Debate Over Nuclear Deal Again, I did not like Trump but voted for him because of the damage the alternative would do and that is beginning to manifest itself. Our new point man on Iran is Robert Malley. If you don't now who Robert Malley is you might do a little research. A an admittedly smart Rhodes Scholar, he has âa long track record of sympathy for the Iranian regimeâ and âanimus towards Israel.â When the New York Times publishes that his centrist critics describe him as "overly suspicious of American power and overly sympathetic to foreign actors including Iran and the Palestinians who have deep disputes with the West," you should know we have a problem. I saw his handiwork up close and personal years ago and while I applause his willingness to talk to extreme groups like Hezzbolah because it shakes up the gridlock and the status quote, he leans far to the Iranian side of the argument and is willing to make concessions and agreements that we simply cannot verify with Iran. The think tank he just left to take the position just published a paper saying we should immediately return to the Iran Deal, the problem is the Iranians have already begun enrichment of uranium to 20% purity, which is FAR beyond the allowed limit in the 2015 deal and it the lowest acceptable purity for nuclear weapons. Iran ramps up uranium enrichment and seizes tanker as tensions rise with US We are going to force Israel to go it alone and the result will not be pretty.

BODE, First, thanks for 20 years of service to our nation. Solid advice being presented so far and as mentioned your first stop should be a sit down with your family. Being a commander was always a goal for me and I am humbled I got the chance and only you can answer if the chance at command is worth giving up potential seniority and other freedoms. If you stay and are able to get command you may be really lucky and have the opportunity to make a difference in someone's life, you can not place a value on that experience. I am retired but not an airline pilot, however from the numbers I've seen you will have no problems getting on with an airline once the gates open back up. There is of course risk on that side but the long-term financial reward is very appealing. I would advise you take a long-view approach. Being a commander is something you can't go back and get once you get out. For your own self worth, does the opportunity for command experience outweigh the potential financial stability? If you are looking to hedge your bets do you have the opportunity of turning down IDE and remaining on active duty? I know some will say that is the kiss of death but I can assure you it is not, it truly is situation dependent. I know several folks who turned down IDE and still became squadron commanders, Lt Col's and in one case a BPZ O-6 Group Commander.

I've clearly stated I think climate change is real and we need to do something, but this is not the thing, this is a political stunt that does far more harm than good. I am in favor of actual investments in science not a move that placates the wacky far left and costs thousands of jobs while doing more hard to the environment. How about we use some of that unity we were promised built a real bipartisan national strategy to reduce emissions and convert to renewables before we wreck the American economy. Neither side will be happy int he short-term, but that probably means we have a real solution. Instead we have an out of touch administration playing to the extremes. What a great narrative when John "Climate Change Czar" took his private jet to the climate change summit and said displaced Keystone Pipeline workers "will have better choicesâ and can âgo to work to make the solar panels.â Huh...over 60% of solar panel production is in China...come on man. We are years away from increasing efficiency and increasing large scale solar panel production here in the U.S. at a competitive price point. These people need jobs NOW. Oh and he made those clueless comments while defending his use of the private jet... "The only choice for somebody like me" Come on man!

The irony of Biden's killing the Keystone Pipeline in the name of "Climate Change"....Killing the pipeline will actually INCREASE carbon emissions. To offset the amount of oil lost by cancelling the pipeline the U.S. will have to add 646 Train tankers of oil per day and it will consume 1.4 Million gallons of fuel (usually diesel), everyday to move that fuel. That is the equivalent of adding the emissions of 490,000 cars to our output. Well done Never Trumper Climate Savers.

Like I said the party is over and the tug of war has begun. Will he have the stones to stay in the middle given all that unity and stuff or will he end up under the thumb of the squad... Joe is also pushing back on his key Stone Pipeline EO - Sen. Manchin Urges Biden to Permit Keystone XL Pipeline

WHO will end research into 'extremely unlikely' theory that COVID-19 originated in Wuhan lab "The investigators have visited hospitals, research facilities and the seafood market where the first outbreak was identified, although their contacts in Wuhan are limited to visits organized by their Chinese hosts." I feel so much better...
