Iceland is a weird place. It has plenty of ice and is windy and cold. Since its so far north there are no trees and the island is made out of volcanic rock. Mostly covered by mountains and glaciers.

Why would an ART have to wait till he if 56 to get retirement? Wouldn't that put you close to 30 yrs instead of 20? And is it hard to balance your time as an ART? [ 19. January 2006, 15:59: Message edited by: scoobs ]

I was in Phx in August of this year for a week and it didn't get below 110 degrees. But its only for 3 months then its only 90.

I was told that ART guys work a lot more then AGR. That there always keeping track of there hours. Does anybody if thats true or is everthing the same except the title? And can you take a non flying ART job and still fly?

Thanks for the info. I know that the GS pay scale isn't so bad. But it might be more work to fly in the reserves on top of your regular job. Especially if your flying heavies.

Its located in Glendale which is west of Phoenix. Its really hot for 3 months and then gets better. There is a big range in housing if you decide to buy. Stay out south Phoenix and you will be okay. Is ART harder to get then AGR postions? Since you can double dip your pay and retirement?
