  1. You're working a lot more than 75 hours at an airline. You might be credited for 75 but you're still working 10 to 12 hours a day 15 days a month. But you're working less and getting paid more.
  2. Is PTSD as common as this article makes it sound? https://www.gq.com/story/drone-uav-pilot-assassination
  3. Are pilots coming back as contractors? Or is it that miserable they leave altogether?
  4. It's a valid question. Do the direct guys get a commercial rating that contractors require?
  5. How many guys return as contractors?
  6. Premium pay?
  7. Haha, but you get the benefit of living in Fresno, I mean Fresyes.
  8. Light greys deploy?
  9. Sounds like any normal office job. You want to be home more but you go to the airlines. You don't want to be an ART or AGR because you can make more money at an airline. Nothing makes you guys happy.
  10. Are Art's home more nights than flying for the airlines?
  11. I'm confused, you liked your job but now your mad because you get to stay?
  12. Is that a yes or no?
  13. Haven't they been using contractors?
  14. No news? Everyone must be busy flying.
  15. How is bumming these day's with the supposed reduction of forces in the middle east?
  16. Go Navy, they're actually happy about their branch of choice. AF peeps seem bitter about life. Not even the Marines flying Uav's hate it as much as the people on here. Lots of full time jobs available in the reserves. Working as anything other than a pilot as a civilian would be difficult. Good luck with your decision.
  17. Do contractors have better hours? I see lots of flying jobs out of Creech. Some without Pred time.
  18. Guard/reserve isn't an option?
  19. I'm surprised that he didn't fight it in court. If he was willing to enlist and wasn't allowed he shouldn't have to pay. They could have even reassigned him to another officer field.
  20. Do you sign a contract when you go to the academy?
  21. Riverside is boring. You're driving distance to the beach, mountains, and desert though. Riverside has some nice areas. Woodcrest, Canyoncrest, or Orangecrest. Those would be the closest to March. Redlands is the nicest city but definitely a commute. You could go south and look at Temecula or Murrieta. My first choice would be Canyon Lake. It's a gated community with a lake for fishing or wake boarding. The 215 and 91 are pretty awful. The location is nice to get out of town.
  22. Hopefully the airlines work out for you.
