    How is that different than any other service? I know it's a crapshoot, will see how long it last. Has the US gone 10 years without airlines laying people off? And what if he doesn't want to fly for the airlines? The whole officer first thing has gone out the window in the AF.

    Wouldn't 24 hours of operations help? How are you liking it? Seems like the schedule is the worst thing for a full timer but a good thing for the part time guys.

    Someone on an older post said C-5 peeps were making 60k plus per diem. Units were offering 14 day orders a month.

    Haters gonna hate. Go to another branch where everyone doesn't complain. Check out Airwarriors, they're actually positive towards their branch.

    Haha, if you stay away from the bay and LA you should be fine. Sac is a cool town with lots to do and not terribly expensive compared to the rest of the state. If you like the outdoors, recreation is free.

    Right, 60's in January. Surfing and skiing on the same day. Trips to wine country and the central coast. Sounds like a terrible place :barf: If your AD just make sure your a resident of another state so you don't have to worry about the 9% income tax rate. If you stay away from the bay Northern California isn't that expensive.

    Is it easy to get full time orders? Bumming in a drone sounds odd. Any chance they would put a Pred or Reaper unit at Beale? Do they rotate weekends and holidays?

    They got rid of the 3% match towards your TSP? How many employers actually have a defined retirement plan? Most of the ones I have seen have gone to a 401k only plan. The way I looked at it was the Annuity was an added bonus to your 401k.

    How long is seasoning? On another forum someone said they gave each guy six years, seemed longer than usual.
