  1. One of the regulars to this forum?
  2. Thank you. I believe you provided the background guys have been waiting on. Helps me understand your perspective and experience.
  3. I wouldn't say anything on here that I wouldn't say to someone face-to-face. I will not hide behind an Internet forum in that sense. The thing that makes me nervous are the possible lurkers. I take OPSEC and COMSEC seriously, so I do not think names should be released. But someone's background speaks to validity.
  4. Looks like quite a few made it out ok.
  5. Overhead video looks like they either landed short or the tail separated over the underrun.
  6. Anyone can come on here and claim to be senior leadership. Most guys on BODN knows the old hats' backgrounds, therefore they know who to trust and not to trust. Folks in the past have come on here claiming to be someone similar to you and they were outed to be trolls. Everyone is cautious because some of the statements you made we're trollish and you have given no background other than you work in Pentagon and today that you are at least a pilot. If you are who you claim to be, awesome, welcome to BODN and continue to engage in conversations. If not, hit the road. Same goes for GC. Everyone else, keep it civil and respectful. This forum is a great source of info and also provides a place to vent our frustrations. Let's keep it the way Rich wanted!
  7. Best thread ever!! Thanks M2!
  8. We need a German chicks in dirndls and beer thread!
  9. While he's leaving things, maybe he should leave the "ranks" he also despises!
  10. Not sure what squadrons you have been in, but I would have to say that my experience is the complete opposite. The guys I fly with are some of the best people I know. There have been a few that were not stand up citizens, they are far outweighed by those great people. Maybe that is the advantage of a Guard unit, and that is over a 20+ yr flying career.
  11. I would recommend pinning on AD. You would likely be delayed in pinning if you came to the ANG without it.
  12. We are looking for part-timers below the rank of Major.
  13. Can't provide a reg quote (because I'm too lazy to go digging for the info), but I seem to remember that a DOR would prevent you from getting another flying position in the ANG. Don't remember/know how a failure out of a program would affect you. Years ago, we had a guy come to us that had washed out of F-15s due to the inability to inflight refuel. Age could be an issue, but it appears that you have already completed a UPT type program with the Navy, is that correct? If that is the case, you might be ok to attend an FTU. I will let other more knowledgeable folks pick it up from here.
  14. See Infamous' post #139 in this thread
  15. We got ours last week. I am very pleased! The engraving on the back looks great!
  16. We buy the for $150 each. Will post who we get them from Monday when I get back to the office.
  17. My guess is a USMIL rep from the Embassy
  18. Looks like they fought it all of the way down.
  19. You checked their website? Requirements: · U.S Citizen · Under 40 years of age · Successfully complete a thorough background investigation and drug test · Pass a FAA class 1 flight physical · Hold a valid Commercial Pilots license with an Instrument rating and other rating(s) appropriate to the position to be filled · Total Flight Time 1500 hours ** · Pilot-In-Command (PIC) 250 hours · Night Flying 75 hours · Manned Flight Time, Last 12 Months 100 hours · Qualified Predator-B pilot (Predator-A qualification will be considered) * UAV/UAS time does not count towards flight hour minimums ** One half the total flight time may be waived My question is how are they going to handle any USAF/ANG MQ-9 guys that get out/retire? The sticking point will either be age or the manned flt hours requirement. I realize this is due to the fact that you are also qualified to fly manned aircraft. So, I wonder if there is going to be an RPA only position in the future? I am also a little interested since I am approaching retirement and the wife would like to move to FL when I do. Looks like they fly them out of Cocoa Beach and that would be ideal.
  20. How many Guard units have you been in?
  21. I know one in my squadron. Got the 767 right out of training.
  22. We can wear whatever PT clothes we would like.
