  1. Tracking on blocking ACSC in correspondence for selects but the poster above said he's a candidate.
  2. What look are you in? Were you pushed by your senior rater this past round? One way to pretty much guarantee to not go as a select, other than saying so on your ADP and 3849, is to not complete ACSC via correspondence.
  3. Anyone have any updates to the C-130J Breitling?
  4. Sorry to get your blood pressure up man, but the short story fix to that is your Sq CC, group CC, and probably wing CV having some semblance of balls and telling the MSG or LRG CC (whatever your setup is) to unfornicate their processes to make deployments happen. I know... That's asking for a lot these days especially when dealing with BPZers just looking to not rock the boat and move on to the next thing.
  5. Fuck it... Are you really telling me people aren't going to get out the door because there isn't someone spending their primary duty loading names into a 1970s system? People will still be on the iron or the rotators on-time. As for tracking MR stuff, that can easily be soaked up by the training shop.
  6. This will require "yes men" commanders to come up on the net and admit that they need help... I have a feeling that the units that need it the most when not see any sweeping changes.
  7. Exactly what I have seen happen.
  8. Bingo. The MAF is finally starting to get to a point where it knows what to do with weapons officers, but not all (arguably most) senior raters have caught up to those in the CAF. Not helping is that many MAF squadron commanders look at WOs as crack PROJOs that they can fire & forget on those hot high-vis (and non-tactical) taskers from their bosses and produce desired results to pad their performance reports. All because, to them, these guys/gals went to a 6-month school where prioritization and time management were keys to success and that makes them uniquely qualified to do something that really any officer could pull off (not to mention if it's something anyone should be bothering with anyway). They justify it by saying those projects give you "breadth" where WIC gives you "depth" and that boards don't care about how well you trained the FNGs or built/added to a squadron mindset. It's sad.
  9. PM sent! Sorry for the delayed reply.
  10. I could rattle off about ten without thinking too hard...
  11. Not to mention it takes the better part of a month to out process an OCONUS base....
  12. Welp, this thread went down a nerd hole.
  13. Until a landlord tries to get skimpy on the "extra", non-contracted services.
  14. If it's anything like the OHA process, your contract will be scrutinized to ensure you are only being charged for rent based only on size of the property. Any other "services" included will be prohibited.
  15. Anyone seen the new Independence Day flick?
  16. Best idea I've heard yet.
  17. Value in both.
  18. Why's that? This type of thing literally makes up the bulk of the miserable lives these people lead... might as well capitalize on the knowledge.
  19. 100% agree. I get more inspiration out of watching a TedTalk on youtube than I do listening to the same old, tired rhetoric of a kool-aid spewing O-6/above.
  20. Question about the application. I know you can't currently be on a profile when you apply. What if you had exemptions on your last PFT due to a profile though? Passed, but the profile is now clear (knee surgery and recovery). Any experience?
  21. Until next year when it becomes a thing, again...
  22. The only way that OHA is sustainable to the member overseas with the artificially high rent prices is with the separate utilities allowance. This new proposed BAH without a utilities allowance is a massive pay cut.
  23. Maybe you should separate. We thank you for your service.
