  1. For anyone interested: In my experience, the following are the "tiers" of stratification: 1: x/xx Capts (or Lts, Majs, whatever.. specific to your rank) 2: x/xx CGOs/FGOs (larger pool, but not as specific. The only way a "CGO" strat would be top-tier would be a Lt getting a #1 or 2/XX CGOs strat because it implies that he/she is performing above the level of Capts also in that CGO category. Open to interpretation.) 3: x/xx pilots, ACs, instructors, whatever. No number=not a strat, and therefore fluff. If a CC truly wanted to mark someone as "top tier", they would stratify them as such, not use words in a push line. I hate that I know this.
  2. It sucks either way. My lesson learned from SERE: just when you think it can't get any worse, it can.
  3. "Speaking for" CSAF on enlisted matters is not synonymous with privileges of a general officer. This is supposed to be the fucking military. With, you know, a rank system. Ugh.
  4. Do you no longer have to be a TCO to submit a WOMS request? For those of you who dont know what that is... Be thankful.
  5. Oh the irony. Recoupment for a BS AAD you used TA for and didn't want in the first place.
  6. Actually, the shittiest people I've encountered that occupied the commander's office have all been promoted. Every single one.
  7. This seems like it falls within the CSAF's "if it's dumb, stop doing it" decree.
  8. We passed the point of "full retard" on PT scores long ago. If you know anything about the 18 AF/CC (oops, I mean future AMC/CC), this shouldn't be a surprise.
  9. Those shoes don't have Velcro on them--how do you get them on, M2? Either way, I'm sure the color matches your Dickies coveralls and "USAF Retired" hat.
  10. At what point can you no longer be tasked with a 365 and still retire? 19 years in?
  11. Any updates? Is there a C-130J app yet?
  12. And here I thought Ospreys were a "serious mission" only for "serious people", or whatever that dude said on here months ago. Still makes me laugh. Hope it works out for you. Have some Larry's BBQ for me!
  13. Man, talk about getting it all wrong. Just like the non-continued O-4s and the VSP debacle a fews ago, things like this should serve as a huge warning sign to the younger guys. This is much more than screwing with individuals' lives/post-AF plans. This is adding to the already stacked amount of data points in the "con" column for those guys that are on the fence about staying in.
  14. Thanks for saying this. What's he going to do about it? I'm sure there are a lot of capable, credible people with the (or promotable to) appropriate rank to take the place of those that can't get behind his policies.
  15. WOW. Someone in Japan (SoftBank provider) is having a shitty day/evening.
  16. Can you pm me info on the EFBs? Will send you .mil if necessary. This has been a major PITA.
  17. Can't download right now but is that a full up editor or only a reader? Previous version I had tried was only the latter.
  18. This guy never ceases to amaze me. I mean, seriously, who stands on a stage in front a group of officers and talks about himself like that?
  19. So here's the question... Is SOS commandant a dead end for your career?
  20. Part of his in-processing brief as the EOG/CC. He talked about how he questioned that officer's integrity (didn't go into more detail) and "ended" him. Used it as an example in his "expectations" brief.
  21. Does he still talk about the Army O-4(?)'s career that he effectively ended while at EUCOM?
  22. Transfer immediately. As for what to use it on... Return on investment. Remember that.
  23. Well, that escalated quickly.
  24. Tried Dalwhinnie 15 tonight--might be my new go-to.
  25. Weren't officers with less than one year TIG ineligible?
