  1. Done. Maybe one of the more powerful moderators could move this over to squadron bar...
  2. I would like to see a ride that started off with rolls, loops, and turns with T-38 graphics flying by and then all of a sudden slows down, turns into a straight and level track and does a few 30 degree banks before smoothly returning to the starting point...and right near the end the riders are hit with a small amount of pepper spray to make them cry.
  3. I feel bad for this guy. He obviously is a capable and accomplished WSO, and wants nothing more than to continue serving, and live peacefully. The AF really screwed the pooch on this one, no pun intended.

    USAA

USAA now has an iPhone app...FYI.
  5. I really give you credit Finance Guy; just reading that message made me a bit nauseated. Cheers for doing a thankless job and not setting your building on fire.
  6. Just ordered a copy. $14 at buy.com with free shipping if anybody is looking.
  7. Hippy
  8. This is one of the most misunderstood offenses in our legal system. Assault requires only the threat of violence.
  9. Training Ribbon and NDSM for ROTC. USAFA also gets longevity for commissioning. GWOT after 30 days of AD for everybody.
  10. I'm reporting to Columbus 10 Nov, and had a few questions. I already reserved the 30 days of billeting, but do I also need to talk to the housing office ahead of time or do I just see them when I show up? Also, I can't check in to billeting until 2pm on the 10th, and the 11th is Veteran's Day and everything will be closed. Should I try to get to all of the offices on base that afternoon, or just wait until the 12th?

    MP3 Players

iPhone....replaces everything, up to and including your washing machine. But seriously, I'm a Windows guy, never had an iPod, and I could not be happier with my new 16GB iPhone 3G. It is hands down the coolest thing I have ever owned. I have several thousand songs on it, about 60 videos, and 30 of the coolest applications ever created.
  12. There are several of us in Atlanta on the forum, so I among others would be happy to send this info to the APD. Also, there is no 93.9 in ATL, the one you posted AEWingsMN is in Alabama.
  13. PC-12 Crash I expect this thread to go something like the rest of them... Some people know details. Nobody can talk about it. Something will be out on SIPR soon. Everyone is glad they are ok. We are reminded to wait until the AIB releases more details. So, does anybody know what happened here? What kind of mission were they flying when they crashed? I keed. But seriously, I'm glad they all survived.
  14. That Capt is not very good at his job. From AFROTCI 36-2013 3.3.2. (Exception: Cadets not completing FT prior to the March board will automatically receive FT score of “5”. Once FT is complete, upward adjustment to the OM is authorized based on FT results only). AND 3.6.2. Applicants must attend FT the summer immediately following the March board in order to have their FT standing adjusted. Update the FT standing in the AFROTC database upon receipt of the FT report but no later than 31 August (see para 1.4.7 and 1.4.8 for board schedule and release date).
  15. Just a quick update for anyone interested, it is actually pretty simple: Click on the link, fill out the application (it takes about 3 minutes), fax it in, and you are set. Rosetta Stone is available to all Air Force Officers. https://www.my.af.mil/gcss-af/USAF/AFP40/At...Application.pdf Thanks for the help everybody
  16. What's the difference between an E-2C with 8 blades and an E-3D? I have seen the E-2 Hawkeyes at NAS ATL with the 8 bladed props, but haven't heard of a E-3D.
  17. Awesome, thank you very much!
  18. Does anybody know if there are any updates on how to get free language training from the Air Force? The Rosetta Stone thing for CGOs is no longer available according to the site.
  19. Airbus Unveils Military Giant Hmm...
  20. F*cking awesome post!
  21. Yeeeahh...I'm going to have to go ahead and sort of disagree with you there. That sure as hell looks gray from a 23 year old perspective, but I'm sure he appreciates your interpretation.
  22. It has been discussed here before, but if you are on AF portal, go to the officer assignments section, click on tanker airlift assignments, then scroll down to the 89th Wing. They have all the info about the app process and requirements. I am hoping to make it to Air Force One someday, so I have been doing a little research on it.
  23. According to the AFROTC website. University of Phoenix has crosstown arrangements with Arizona State and Loyola Marymount. They do not have any agreements with any schools in Texas. My det was 50% crosstown students from 13 schools. There are tons of cadets that work full time, commute to ROTC, do well in school, and get pilot slots. If you really want to be in the Air Force, I would say figure out a way to get into a school that has a det or a crosstown agreement. Apply for every scholarship out there, including AFROTC scholarships that are available. I know Texas has several Historically Hispanic schools that offer non-competitive scholarships, so that is always an option. Good luck!
