  1. This is DLF Info. If you have an air boss and a NOTAM’d temp tower you are good. Should only need an OG approval (DLF approver) for MX support with distance. I would help if I wasn’t sitting in the ‘Stan enjoying the sights.
  2. Good luck. Shouldn’t need a waiver to land/TO. Need it for not being tower controlled and it will take OG approval because it’s greater than 700 miles from the nearest Mx support.
  3. A great one here: Location - a lovely ‘Stan Unit - the only one doing 365s Problem - TSgt get sent home early for med issues (very legit issue) AF Solution - send in a temp tech after putting them through training (5 weeks worth) at the same time as the person who is scheduled to replace the TSgt. Then deploy the temp for less than 40 days and schedule temp to leave before the permanent tech even arrive so zero turnover given. To make matters worse when I found out about the gap I asked the permanent tech if he would be interested in deploying early. He said hell ya. Took that solution to leadership and was told “that sounds like more work than its worth”. So instead we send another person (on short notice) through training with the permanent tech and deploy him for 36 days. I was livid when I found out. We were all told it was a forward deploying tech from the Deid. How the hell can people believe this makes sense??
  4. Just wear the combat shirt and you don’t have to worry about it.
  5. My last unit uses http://corporatelogos.org/index.htm Once they had our colors on file we would usually receive the name tags in about 5-7 days from ordering.
  6. I’m still rocking my initial commitment. And the big AF hasn’t given me much reason to jump ship. I enjoy what I do and why I do it...
  7. From my understanding there are no C21s at ADW now.
  8. I’ve looked into that however I have to wait for the next board cycle to be posted.
  9. My wife was recently offered a job at the pentagon and isn’t sure about taking it. Her hesitation is she doesn’t want me to stop flying. So, with a C17, T6 and C208 background and a few bases In the area what’s the possibility of flying attached to one of those units while working the the HAF? I know I’m probably going to get laughed out of the park on this one since flying staff job are a dying breed. However I️ have to ask and am looking for people that have good intel before we make a decision. Any info would be appreciated. If I’m missing something let me know.
  10. Personally believe this is a first step to stop loss. "Hey we tried to get volunteers and we couldn't do the only other option is...." that's what I see the leading to.
  11. Do tell. I know they have rotations forward deploying from there.
  12. I heard similar words recently from my J1.
  13. If they have a temp tower for the show it gets rid of the NTA problem. I know when I took a 6 to Rome GA last year that's how we worked around it.
  14. The posted increment of 191 is through December.
  15. So at this rate it will take til Sep 18 to finish. What again was the point of moving the 09 yg up?
  16. So a legitimate question to dual qual. Can anyone provide guidance on dual qual for different positions on the same aircraft? I'm currently deployed as a C208B EP and we are trying to determine who would need to sign off on me being qual'd as MSO (Mission Systems Officer). This is mostly to teach/eval our counterparts how to do ISR and airdrop. We currently are using an FE from the helo world but he will be departing shortly and need a plan of action. The way I read the 11-202v2 we fall under host nation rules (they don't talk about dual qual). The 11-401 says we need MAJCOM approval to fly foreign aircraft (which we are already doing). So the way I read it as long as our host nation signs off on it we are good. What am I missing on all this? I feel like there is something I'm not taking into consideration.
  17. Last year they gave B52s to T-6 guy who went through T-1s. To make matters worse they didn't want to take the bottom guys so some people received a surprised when some of the shit bags made out with why the other guys wanted. Wouldn't be supposed if the same happened this year. If I remember right the #4 of 9 FAIPs in my unit was hit with a BUFF. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Didn't know Pittsburgh had 17s. Are they replacing their hercs? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Are you surprised? I'm not. Not like this is a prime group to have a positive influence on as we are closing in on our 10 year commitments. Might be a good idea to at least show us they can make SOMETHING happen on time. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
