At DLF they have to do 20 military ran sims just to keep the sim timeline on schedule. They have recently been cancelling flights daily because of sim stops. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Just an overall great individual. The exact opposite on a volunteer King. He would do anything in his realm of influence to help you. Personal, professional it wouldn't matter. He cares. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

From what I have heard it's still there. I think there are actually two billets. I don't think they are flying billets. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How do you feel about your airframe and mission?
Bode replied to innovator's topic in General Discussion
I am currently in AETC and only one of the Moose drivers I have talked to even want to go back. Personally I loved landing in different locations but the leadership seemed horrible, even from people that worked directly for JQP. I know the grass isn't always greener. Also Elmo is closing the active unit and rumor is Hawaii won't be far behind. Take away the two best deals and it's not as nice looking. The entire community is overmanned but that will eventually lead to a push like 2013 where even gets an RPA to level manning out. I rarely felt like a pilot. I was a systems and teams manager the entire time. Track the aircraft with an external computer, worry about crew rest, do TACCs job because they are fools, and try not to get Q3'd. Now I have the opportunity to put stick and rudder skills to use. I know it's not the future but I love not having an A/P to do my work. Would I go back? If they made me, I'm not going to say no but it is currently number 5 on my ADP. Edit for add: the main reason it's number 5 is the leadership that I have experienced in the communities. Even one of our SQ/CCs are my current location says the same thing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk -

The board date is like 20 March. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So the dates for the 08 Maj board came out and it will be in March of next year. Now with that I have a few questions, first, what is the cutoff date for something being part of the package that meets the board. The reason I ask is I have at least one wing lvl award as well as a project which is has MAJCOM/CC vis which will be complete by the end of year but was not documented on my previous OPR. Second question, how can I get those items documented to be added to my PRF? Also, my next OPR isn't scheduled to close out til Feb of next year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Anyone know what the distance is for be "co-located". In other words how far apart would you have to be for it not be reasonable to live together? And is that the same point upon which you would receive FSA? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

This should be interesting. First problem, expect most every rental to hit at max BAH very similar to how it seemed to be in Germany. I know my landlord did it and so did many others. Hopefully the price gouging will include things like maids, as mine did. It wasn't in my lease or even mentioned before hand. She just showed up one day. On the dual mil aspect and or roommate. What if one buys and the other "rents" a separate unit? How much work will there be to calculate exact utilities. It truly amazes me that senators think this is the best way to cut costs when (to my understanding) there is a fleet of aircraft for senior officials to utilize for "official duties". Seems like if we made them fly coach like the rest of us we could save some cash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I think that's part of the problem, I don't care one way or another. I have enough time in I'm not worried about promotions and I don't care about building hours for the airlines. I have zero desire to fly for an airline when I'm done. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Why? I'm currently attached and fly almost daily. Non-flying gigs I understand but this is still a flying gig. Just looking for justification. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The latest I heard was they would get out after 3-4 years and the most recent rumor is they will stop dropping somewhere are class 16-13. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Yea we do some odd stuff. We are doing a "disease ex" in the next month or so. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The big difference is the T-1 track can absorb more studs there for they can take the hit. The 38 studs are usually the top half of the class and I believe that is being respected. Give them what they want. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So I was just asked if I want to go work for the wing IG as either chief of exercises or inspections (they are both opening up). Can anyone provide insight into which one would be more interesting? It would be my first job outside of the flying sq and OSS. What are the positives and negatives of this? My other option is to work as an ADO. Man if they went Guam, east coast, west coast, and Hawaii, I think you could end up with a schedule where no one base operates between 2200 and 0600. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I had a guy I worked with the that analyzed how many pilots you needed if we didn't have additionally duties. If I remember correct we could have cut 1/5 of the unit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

On second look, on the website, that's ENJJPT. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It looks like a NATO patch. Not ENJJPT however I could be wrong. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

My thoughts exactly. If only one person per unit takes the bonus that's one person per year each unit can hire. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How ridiculous is this? Do you actually read what you post? So if individuals have already signed TEN year commitment they should sign another one (up to 9 years) to prevent up coming up with a long commitment. Sounds completely sensible......or not. Let work on common sense here.

I hope people like Chang are taking this info and choosing to use it wisely. Honestly I bet they are not. Just sat in a meeting with a bunch of IG members and they said that every base they visit complains about two things: two much queep (in the form of additional duties and what not) and poor manning. This queep stays for some ridiculous reason and there are ways to fix the manning (start by going back to the first problem). Also take a look at flight pay they numbers haven't changed much since 1989. That inflated value of the $650 a month category is $1185. I know that doesn't change everything but that is $6k a year. Maybe that doesn't fix everything but it won't hurt. I personally would rather take a flight pay increase of signing my life away to collect about $15k in bonus money.
