  1. For the lazy peeps out there. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I know they didn’t make it through. The learning curve was too steep. The kids we 18 and had zero aviation background. From what I was told as the time crunch started to happen they focused on the Os and left the Es to fail. A couple of them could have made it given better pre-conditions. 3. “The interim safety board will be looking at all aspects of the aircraft, to include the engine components, to determine the cause of the crash,” Robinson said. Foul number two. Not the ISB’s job to determine cause. Looks like this guy isn’t surrounding himself with smart people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Don’t waste your time or money on anything UPT related. Don’t bother studying the 11-248 either. With the way UPT is going you will get enough study time and opportunity to learn once you get there. Once you get through commissioning and IFT then start into the UPT info. Until then it’s worthless penguins on the iceberg. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. RND T-6s stood down all day. All UPT IPs meet with their leadership from what I was told. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. If I remember correctly that area is outside downwind and 90 to initial corner. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Based on the quality of product from PIT it would take a lot to wash out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Nothing like posing for a pic in the aftermath. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Agreed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Eh, I would say not even close worth it, average overall. And no he’s not in he had to come to the squadron to outprocess. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. He brought the same ex-student (she was admin separated) around the squadron when he was out-processing after his jail sentence. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Only flying CT. Nothing in the front with studs. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. What’s the AFMAN? That might help anyone help you. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I honestly don’t have a clue about this “proposal” you are talking about. This was just myself and a couple other UPT instructors talking the other day. I will say that we shouldn’t sacrifice our effectiveness to give other countries niceties. However, that is a laughable argument in our AF. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Remove the international workload from the current bases and reconsolidate at RND. From my estimate that would open ~2,000 flight hours per year at each base. (Based on an estimate of 20 students per year at each base and a 100 flight hours per student). Just a thought. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. I see a lot more complaining about the product of PIT than the “flying club”. The issue is those that don’t care and are ROAD don’t necessarily produce the product the UPT based need. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. Shack. There are a few solid dudes but I believe they are outweighed by the aforementioned problem personnel. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. This failure in support will be the reason we don’t succeed. We have pilots running the comm equipment for EFBs. They are running the cables, installing the repeaters, everything. Also, I call comm because I can’t get the new outlook in the cloud working. Three days later I’m fixing it myself because they haven’t had time to fix it. We could make more pilots but the support piece is never going to enable it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Just give RND all the international training. Offset the good deal location with tougher work. Also it would allow the international reps to all be local to their people. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. This is already starting. I know of FAIPs who are going to RND for academics then back to their locations for the flying portion. It will help get rid of the PIT isms we all hate and teach them to fly in the local area (speeding up TI). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I know that’s the case at PIT. Definitely not a thing where I am or I don’t think we would be behind the timeline. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. One push has been to send all international to UPT at RND to reduce the workload they cause elsewhere. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Gives you the ability to get more than the on base lodging rate when you stay in off base lodging.
  24. I assume this is for the units like Travis 10s which have a training component to their flying ops. Pretty sure they do requals through the formal training school house after studs PCS in. Similar to PIT for guys as well. There will be formal RIPs for that situation.
  25. This is the problem. From HAF the only 365s are advising gigs to the ‘Stan. Even Iraq is only a 179 advising mission. We are not reducing billets just adjusting your length which some people like and others don’t.
