  1. There are a couple billets for A-29 bubbas to go to Moody and teach on this assignment cycle. From there they do multiple deployments to the Stan. There isn’t an 365s unless it’s command (which is another discussion).
  2. My guess is the better part of a decade or two. We have been doing it for 208s for almost a decade with no end in sight.
  3. If I could get a picture of my squadron out here. We currently have guys wearing about 7 different versions of OCP, Scorpion and other multi cam patterns. Nobody gives a shit except the blue Air Force on the other side. I swear I saw a chief twitching the other day looking at us.
  4. From what I have heard the RFF is in the works. Short timeline once it’s released. Talking spring of next year for the first birds to show up.
  5. It took 15 people for one to stick with my deputy group. It was an 11G billet. The two other fixed wing advisors replacing myself and a Maj both volunteered.
  6. That checks. He’s a 60 pilot now.
  7. I can say where I am one of two T6 commanders is a 2-below. The other is a 1-below. Old OSS CC was on time but I think the new one is a 1-below.
  8. Source?
  9. Damn good question I don’t have a great answer to.
  10. You probably have a couple months. The June increment only goes to 1716 w/ 380 remaining after that. The quota each month has been 190.
  11. So I know there is an entire thread on ADSC waivers associated w/ PC. Does anyone have any data points on waivers for retiring. I currently have 1 ADSC for the GI bill which takes me 6 months passed the period at which I am eligible to retire. Looking for any information on probably, or not, if getting a waiver to retire earlier. Thanks. Bode
  12. If only it was that easy. Word on the street is big AF cancelled all 2018 AD OTS boards....guess we don’t need people.
  13. When you headed out here?
  14. C-17s, T-6s, and C-208s.
  15. Is there any thing that states production is number 1? Not arguing but trying to find some justification for something.
  16. Check out the AEFonline 365 listing. I will see if I can find a POC.
  17. So I just had a C-146 assignment tossed onto my plate. It’s not official but it’s a question as to if I want it. I’m not sure how much time I have to figure it out, so I’m looking for anyone who can speak intelligently about the program. - How’s the lifestyle? - Sq life? - Ops tempo? - Pros/Cons?
  18. Seems like it’s moving right a bit. Personnel for the 60 program showed up about the time the 60s did. They are sending Afghans to training starting this fall, not sure how long that will take. Would expect the first group of Advisors in late 2019 maybe early 2020.
  19. C-17 transfer? From my understanding only the iron transferred. The unit was overmanned already after the ‘14 exodus. They had guys waiting in line to get hired. Not sure if it’s the same still. I can reach out to see if I can get more info.
  20. For guys who have the experience I think this would be a quick upgrade. Eventually (if it works) it will probably be like AHC or cat check IP where there are a few running around the squadron at any point in time who can fill the billet.
  21. Baffling. We are dying as a society.
  22. I can second this. A close friend worked for Doss during the transition. When they made it Doss followed the first 10 students they identified as “would have washed out of a screening program”. 8/10 washed out of UPT.
  23. I know they were doing OBOGS testing at DLF as well. From my understanding as I sit in the Middle East is they are scrubbing the OBOGS systems but they only have 4 testers in the AF. To my understanding they had to send trainers out to every base to teach them how to use this tester. Each aircraft takes ~4 hours to complete testing. All aircraft will be grounded until they pass the test. I know DLF had some jets up and running the last few days.
  24. Yes but now we leave the CFS pins in so that doesn’t occur.
