  1. No strings or lube.
  2. Out of touch. Maybe he should have asked whether people had heard of the motto, and if so why they weren't pumped about it. Shit's supposed to inspire the troops, right? Right...
  3. Clearly you do big guy. Oh, by the way, little FF (fun fact) for ya: not everything you need is at the parts store when there's a redball. Part of my PME? Fuckin' A right it was.
  4. As a former MX dude: No you don't. MX does. MX has to go pick up their own stuff when things are time critical, because many times you can't be relied upon to find the flightline. Edit: Toned it down.
  5. Saw a dude at TCM using them once. As EvilEagle said, the mic/plug assy can be had by going directly to Bose. I didn't personally use mine on the '17 because I was afraid it would go missing, but it's doable.
  6. Why the Cadet over something more common like a J3 Cub?

Thanks! Holy shit I want one!
  8. Personally, I think Powell would be a good choice, but I might end up eating those words. At a minimum, I definitely agree with the Powell doctrine.

What's the difference between the GSG-5 and the MP-5?
  10. There is a lot of precedent for giving an aircraft a big makeover including external dimensions and keeping the same designation. I think the KC-135/707/E-3 etc discussion is pretty chickenshit. I'm an airplane geek, but come-on guys, close enough.
  11. Chalk two more up for Martin Baker...
  12. This brings up a good point. There are people all over the world that know fuck all about aircraft but even they can recognize a BUFF when they see one. There is no excuse for someone who actually serves in the force that operates them to not know what they are. I remember in processing my last base. When I picked up my gear at supply (in my flight suite), the SrA asked me if I was a pilot. When I responded in the affirmative, he asked me what kind of airplane I fly. C-17s were the only type of aircraft on the base, and they're kind of hard to miss. I would say at a minimum, folks should know what's at the base on which they work. Edit: To add, at least he bothered to ask and I made sure and answered his question.
  13. Bunch of fucking idiots, if you ask me. Discuss... Link
  14. Which indicated to ME that you thought by not doing so you weren't setting the right example. Personally, I think you are, depending on the situation...
  15. Kills two birds with one stone...
  16. I say set the example by NOT wearing it...
  17. Alright, goddamnit, I've got to know...why the fuck is Vladimir Putin riding a ritz cracker?!
  18. I took mine yesterday...we had 3 civs and about 5 AF administering.
  19. He’s not talking about soldiers shooting people; he’s talking about spies collecting intelligence...pretty common for spies to pose as people other than spies in order to collect intelligence...
  20. I was at Ali Al Salem last year and traveled to Arifjan fairly regularly and I would recommend Arifjan. It has a lot more there and seemed to be less anal than a lot of other places. I would confirm what job you're gonig there to do...that might be a factor, but as far as base facilities and attitude, I would say Arifjan hands down.
  21. Here's a Toast...
  22. Hell, he may even know the difference between to too and two...or should I say no the difference...
  23. Worth the money...in the context of the thread, you can see my $5,000 HD Sportster in the back, which is about as much bike as I can afford right now...
