You should really call https://www.gunclips.net/ and tell them that the name of their site is wrong and that they are dumb asses. The name of their site should be gunmagazines.net since they are clearly misleading the public. Here's their contact info to help you out: By mail: Gunclip Depot,Inc 22760 Shadygrove Cir Wildomar CA 92595 Phone: 951-609-9740 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. Pacific time Fax: 951-678-6230 Email us at: Gunclips@verizon.net I recommend that you give them your little lesson on gun clips because they clearly don't understand.

Go fuck yourself shithead. I'm trying to help out and you shit down my throat over a fucking term?
-
https://www.gunclips.net/ar15.html Seems to have a fair amount of .223 clips in stock for different capacities.
-
No they don't, Clicked on the link 25 minutes after you posted and it says, "out of stock".

I can't believe that 22 ammo is going like that. To me this is a sign of just how irrational people are behaving. Anything can happen but 22 ammo seems to be among the safest as far as a type that would face more controls, unless of course more taxes are imposed on all ammo. Walking around gun stores I can't help but laugh at the ignorance of a lot of people who are buying firearms. I've heard everything from, "What kind of ammo do I need to buy for this?" to "How do you load it?" I have even seen people rush to grab a pellet gun off the shelf. A pellet gun!
-
WTF? What are they doing with this thing to even need something like that? Have I had my head buried in the sand?

I'm not going to fall into your neat little trap that you've made. Let me just say that there are plenty of EO's that many people feel are outrageous and I am in that group. If you really don't know what I am talking about then google it and you'll see what I am talking about. Plenty of Obama's EO's strengthen the Executive branch of government without strengthening others which goes against our system of checks and balances. Some would even say that what he is doing is unconstitutional. Is it really that hard for you and Hacker to understand that the mentioning by Biden of EO use to limit second amendment rights is outrageous and scary to organizations like the NRA and law abiding gun owners?
-
Really dude? Have you seen some of the EO's that have been done over the past 4 years? If you think that this will not be an attempt at a gun grab then you probably need to be declared legally blind.

What all of this is is the Democrats taking advantage of a tragedy to push their agenda through. If we were really responsible and wanted to take action that would do the most good we would be talking about mental health and those with severe mental illness and how to treat those who have these problems in order to prevent future massacres. If there are no guns available then those who really want to do harm will find some other way to hurt people. Bombs, knives, even cars and planes have all been used as weapons to intentionally hurt people so taking guns away is not going to end violence. Personally, this EO order thing that was floated today scares me to death. Obama has proven and even stated that the founders made it too hard for him to get things done that he wants to do. He clearly wants to circumvent Congress on this one and doesn't care about checks and balances. Even with all of that said if he does do an EO I think enough has happened that it might be impossible to reverse something like that anytime soon due to all of the politicians etc who are lined up behind him. Even the SCOTUS seems to be influenced by the POTUS. (Controversial, I know but it looks that way.)

Information on PCS/moves/moving (DITY, TMO, DLA, storage)
Spartacus replied to SUX's topic in General Discussion
I'm only following you on about 50% of that. Right now I am dealing with the movers, but had already decided to take it to the base. How does depreciating something that I own help me? Is this something that would go on my taxes? -

Thanks for the reply. So here is the deal with the fridge. The effing driver put on the forms that it was rusted etc. It looks brand spanking new and I was thinking all I would have to do is take pictures of it showing that there is no way that there was any rust on it EVER. Is that not good enough to get them to change their minds though? The fridge side of it is also not working after the move and they won't even address my claim for wanting to get that side repaired. As far as a couple of the other items they were all in numbered boxes and are saying that the box said something like, "blankets" and since the model plane was not written as being in the box then they have no proof that there was a plane in there and therefore don't have to pay for it. Pretty shady sounding to me. That is really what I am dealing with is fighting about details like that. -

Yeah, thanks for the totally worthless advice. I know the shit that I messed up dude, but there were a lot of other factors going on with this move that made it impossible to watch everything that they were doing and I had to put my attention on about 5 other things at the time to ensure that my life did not completely fall apart. I'll save you the details. Does anyone have any advice on what I could do now if anything? -

Searched for an answer to this but couldn't find the details that I need. Basically, during my last PCS the packers and movers did a horrible job. They broke a bunch of our stuff through terrible packing and our driver was a complete sleaze. He filled everything out with such bad handwriting that I couldn't read a word that he put on there. We signed the paper work and as it turns out he and the packers omitted some stuff off of the paperwork or put some things that were completely wrong and now the claims people are trying to hit me over the head with this. Specifically, we have a very nice fridge that they damaged/scraped pretty bad but on the paperwork the driver put that it was rusted and damaged already (I still can't even really tell that that is what the paperwork says but that is what the claims people are saying), but it was in almost perfect condition with no rust or scratches. I am also trying to claim a model that they broke but they just threw it in a box and didn't put it on the paperwork, and a crystal glass that was shattered but again it is not on the paperwork that it is crystal. My question is do I have any recourse here? I was actually told by another driver that we ended up having that the originally driver that did the paperwork has been banned from certain places because of his poor handwriting trick and that he is dishonest. I also have seen that I can go to someone on base if I am having trouble with a claim. Thoughts? -
Not if anything kicks off in the middle east. Then we get higher taxes, a worse economy, AND higher gas prices along with higher prices on everything else.

If you are still looking for a somewhat descent price on an AR and are willing to wait (https://www.rockriverarms.com) seems to be pretty reasonable but you'll probably have to wait a while for it to show up. Also, I know this has been talked about somewhere on here before but the NRA is offering a free 1 year membership to active duty. (https://home.nra.org/#/nraorg)

Here's a direct link to Feinstein's bill: https://www.feinstein.senate.gov/public/index.cfm/assault-weapons I have been searching around and might order an AR online and I already have a lower so that makes things a little easier. There is no guarantee as to when my order will arrive though. Hypothetically speaking if this bill went through (unlikely I know but...) and I hadn't received my AR yet would it get grandfathered through or not? Also, I wonder what the newspaper that published the personal information of gun owners thinks of this: https://www.foxnews.com/us/2012/12/27/blogger-publishes-names-address-newspaper-staff-after-gun-permit-database/?test=latestnews

I agree with what most of you are saying about the possibilities of an AWB, but the Dems do have a lot of power right now. I thought universal healthcare was a long shot too and look what happened.
-
Quick question. Has anyone had any luck buying an AR recently? I talked to the local Cabelas last week and they said that they would be getting a shipment in today and that they would be available tomorrow. I called right after they opened today and they had 20 @ about $750 and then a bunch more up to about $1700 and they hit the floor first thing in the morning and not tomorrow like they said and were gone in less than an hour. I should have just showed up first thing. I was going to buy one of these a few months ago and waited and am now regretting it. DAMN IT! The thing that is really grinding on me is I've had several shops tell me that a lot of people who are buying them have no knowledge about guns and don't even know what kind of ammo to buy for it! Anyway, any recommendations? Also, a few pages back I saw some people commenting on the House not allowing an assault weapons ban, which I in theory agree with, but I can see the Dems using this as a bargaining chip with taxes etc. What do you think? I am thinking that this is all going to blow over but don't want to get caught empty handed just in case.
-
Man you are spot on. This is exactly what is going on. I have also pulled out of the market and think that we could see something similar to 2008 if we go off the cliff. Am hoping to get back in near the bottom and possibly make enough to cover my higher tax bill for 2013/2014.

There is a much deeper problem here. This is getting into basic freedoms. Freedom of speech, freedom of religion etc. Do individuals and churches have to declare at their inception everything that they believe in and can't change that? I also think that we are well past the point to where the government is legislating morality and deciding what churches can and cannot believe in. There are many churches that have had a stand against birth control ever since it became available and now they are expected to suddenly change that belief because the government says they are wrong? Yes, conservatives like to play the slippery slope card but it is also fairly accurate and the government is always known for taking more and more power but seldom ever gives it up.

I don't qualify for a VA refinance on a rental property that wasn't originally a VA loan. So, I am looking at other options. Does anyone have any experience with Discover Home Loans?

What a stupid b!tch! I can't stand sh!t like what this woman said. "Did you think it was going to crash?" "Yes, I did for a while there." I guess people don't think before they talk anymore. Ugh. Side note: I would bet a lot of money that the pilot was always legal and above min altitudes but if he did use AB that low and did pull into the vertical then he's probably fooked due to poor judgment. Man, don't people enjoy seeing stuff like that though? I still stop in the parking lot at work to watch take offs and over-craniums. Merica!

It does scare me that you would want to change something that was unique and bold and has worked so well up to this point that a lot of countries in the world have patterned their own constitutions after ours and our system of government. We are the nation that we are because of this system and I think we have gotten too comfortable and apathetic to understand what we really have. I think we actually agree here. I see what you are saying here and your statement is logical but I think there will be bleed over sooner or later if not right away. I tend to not trust what the government tells me about taxes etc. If they tell me that it won't affect me now that's great but what about in a couple of years? The government will always grab power but it seldom if ever gives it up. I would apply this idea to taxation as well.
-
Dude, you scare me. On another note look at what is already happening: https://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/11/25/more-congressional-republicans-break-tax-pledge-for-sake-looming-fiscal-crisis/ The thing that bothers me about closing loopholes like charitable deductions and mortgage insurance is that those things will likely reach out and touch a lot more than those who make over $250,000 a year.

You've never spent any amount of time in a socialist country have you?
