  1. Still much better than my investments. I guess investing in that asbestos factory was a bad idea after all.
  2. They made +0.02% today. Much better that the -4.81% I lost today on all of my other investments.
  3. If I've learned one thing, it's that it is difficult to get a good nights sleep while cuddling up to a bucket of urine. edit: Ono Rebuttal
  4. Are the chopping them up or selling them off? I bet there's a few rich ass retired AF pilots that would love a personal T-37 for their hanger.
  5. As long as he doesn't use his ability to get shot down and smile using his bottom teeth only as qualificiations... what ever.
  6. Shit, I got two kids and an unemployed wife. I can't afford shit.
  7. 2:10 looks like it could have been an interest moment.
  8. Assisted suicide is illegal but it's not illegal to bring her more food?
  9. I'll throw a couple more pennies on that for you.
  10. Seriously, this guy has spent too much time writing papers for TUIU or something. With half a sentence from each paragraph, I still get the point. Hell, he could have said, "A kid I knew tried out for football but didn't make the cut. He practiced and finally made it." It's emails like this that force me to create a new auto-delete rule.
  11. I just keep yelling "Give 'er the Gun!" at random points. With enough enthusiasm and confidence, anyone will believe anything.
  12. That's fine and all, even though I'm not sure why that would matter. The real question is, what's the third verse of the AF song?
  13. The DOD is a government organization and the government doesn't believe in financial planning.
  14. If you don't mind the 20 minute commute from the town to the base, I'd live off-base. It's just too much of a headache living on-base. Think of it as a HOA on crack. Plus, they take all of your BAH. If you're an officer, you find a much better house off-base for the money. If you decide to live on base, make sure your lawn is watered constantly and you don't forget to mow everyweek. Otherwise, you may find yourself with an LOC in the morning.
  15. If I was forced to go, I'd probably first get drunk and then proceed to over-sarcasticly cheer for all of their songs. Perhaps shout my request for Free Bird every 6-9 minutes.
  16. His messages look like my TUIU papers. About 2 paragraphs worth of actual content he wants to expressed crammed into 4 pages.
  17. Absolutely! The queep instilled in basic AETC courses like that are there to induce stress. It's not the mission of the AF.
  18. You mean SSgt Snuffy's kids can't get to the hunting area? I'll throw $10 in the pot to make sure that problem gets resolved.
  19. wow... and to think he wrote this in a 6.9 page email. I still have yet to see the good example of an E-9. Of course, a good E-9 probably doesn't get involved in the officer corps much so I'll never really see them.
  20. Who would have thought driving through a street with water level to the top of your truck would be a bad idea?
  21. Another thing F'd up. I moved about 4 months ago and am just finally getting to the final stages of my moving claims reimbursement. After everything is said and done, they want to reimburse me $350 of the $600 I claimed. With writing everything down on (no exaggeration) four different sheets of paper and two websites (all going to the same person) and having the website not work with any of the four web browsers on my three computers, I'll end up making about minimum wage for my efforts. I am convinced that this process is made as difficult as possible to get people to say 'fuck it' and give up, there by saving the company money. Oh yeah, they said it'd take 30-60 days as well. I got my response on the 59th day from the last of the 6 submissions I made. Last time I let the DOD coordinate my move for me. I'll be taking my 95% from now on thank you.
  22. OK, so my word choice wasn't accurate. Affordable on-base child care is important. But give me one example on the government doing anything better than private sector. What I'm saying is, close the CDC. Allow "Kidz Incorporated Child Care" to rent the building and charge normal rates. The rent from the building goes into upkeep and reduced costs for lower income individuals. The DOD has bigger fish to fry than running a day care.
  23. Then we should get rid of AAFEES and the CDC. Let some outside company come in and run a daycare, charge them rent and put the rent profits towards SSgt Snuffy's kids. Why do we need a chain of 14 stores to support this when we could do it better with one business that we don't even have to worry about running? We contract everything else out. Why not the stuff that has little mission impact? edit: dangling particples, modifiers and sentence ending prepositions
