  1. The other direction will be better. Get RIF'd, but on the way out, get promoted to major.
  2. Oh gawd. Here we go again... How hard is it to realize that in the digital age, every one can see everything.
  3. Seeing as how my peer (same year group/AFSC) is in charge of writing my RRF, I think I'll be putting my final stamp of approval on it.
  4. We're also the best because we train the best. Hold on, breaking news. More FHP cuts?
  5. Schedule a PT test on Tuesday morning and fail it miserably.
  6. Studied in behavioral psychology... Hopefully she knows how much of a moron she is.
  7. From what I'm hearing, it looks like the process is working correctly. I just need to wait for the bureaucracy to catch up to us.
  8. Well, yes. I'm Q coded. That's why I'm in this whole mess.
  9. There isn't a government website out there that works correctly. Try using compatibility mode in IE. 70% of the time, it works every time. The last DOD website I was on (AFFMS) said I needed IE 5.5 or better. I was using IE 11. Compatibility mode worked.
  10. Thanks for the link. The Laughlin EFMP has not done anything yet. We just started the 1466 at the losing base and it should get to Laughlin in the next couple weeks. Our next step is to wait to see if we're approved or denied and go from there. I'm not. My daughter is.
  11. I'm being sent to Laughlin as an instructor, which doesn't have much for health care options for my EFMP daughter. We're trying to request that AFPC change the location to either Whiting, Pensacola or even Vance (with my Sq/CC's support). My commander just told me there's an EFMP form on vMPF to request a change of assignment, however I haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know where I'd go about finding this? I only found AFI 36-2110 which has a sample memo as one of the attachments.
  12. Never put jalepeno juice into a hot kettle. That is how mustard gas is created. [citation needed]
  13. I passed along my interest in going there. Primarily, my daughter has a medical issue that would be minimally covered in Del Rio. Progression (hell, even promotion) isn't a big priority for me. Flying the T-6 again is though. We'll see how much traction it gets. I appreciate the input, guys. I have very little knowledge as to how the Navy training program goes.
  14. Why would you apologize? That was beautiful. I'm rather watch this than TIB.
  15. or the second, third, fourth, fifth...
  16. It may be NAS Pensacola. It was just mentioned in passing that there was a T-6 to Florida somewhere and it was a possibility. I'm going to try and get more information tomorrow. This should probably be in the Pensacola thread, but does anyone have insight into the nav training at P-Cola? Specifically the IP's point of view. Flying navigators around all day doesn't sound terribly interesting at first, but the area sounds awesome.
  17. Just got offered the possibility of flying at either Laughlin or Whiting (T-6). Being a prior Laughlin T-6 FAIP, I'm knowledgeable about the ins and outs of the base/syllabus/life style. Can anyone enlighten me on the Navy version of T-6 life?
  18. I wouldn't be surprised if morale was literally issued to you in the future.
  19. Got an email that said, "Wait for further guidance." No further guidance. Wears POW/MIA morale patch anyway.
  20. If you're a POW, do you still have to come up with bullets?
  21. Copy. Put a general in the van next time and I'll salute it.
  22. I don't know what's worse, an LOC for a morale patch or an LOC for a 5x8 trailer parked in my *a 1st Lt's* driveway.
  23. I like the green/grey/yellow/brown ones. Nobody tells me I have to clean or polish them.
  24. Another small victory. New change to AFI 36-2903: 8.3.6. Morale Patches and Tabs. Wing Commanders may authorize the wear of morale patches on the shoulders of the FDU on Fridays, or during special events. Small morale tabs may be worn on the exposed Velcro of the left sleeve when the pen pocket cover is removed; wear is not restricted. Squadron Commanders will approve and maintain a list of acceptable morale patches and tabs for wear by assigned Airmen. 8.4.5. Nametags. Cloth nametags for FDU/DFDU and flight jackets will be 2 X 4 inches in size and worn over the left breast pocket. As a minimum, the Aeronautical badge, Space, Cyberspace or missile operations badges (if awarded) are mandatory and nametags will contain individual‘s name and rank (rank is mandatory for enlisted personnel). Embroidered badges will be consistent in color with MAJCOM approved nametag colors. In the case of subdued nametags, embroidered badges will be black or dark blue in color. MAJCOM supplements to this instruction will standardize nametags (i.e., background/border colors, squadron logos, naming convention, etc.). Nametags for Leather A-2 Flying Jacket will be 2 x 4 inches, brown or black leather, simulated leather. Emboss with silver wings or badges, first and last name, rank, and USAF. Note: Commanders authorized to wear the Command Insignia pin will wear the insignia on the left side of the nametag. The insignia will be worn only while performing commander duties. Exception: Wing Commanders may authorize the wear of morale nametags on Fridays or during special events. Squadron Commanders will ensure name tags are in good taste and reflect proper military order, discipline, morale, and image. 8.7. Undergarments. Undergarments are required with the FDU and DFDU. During flight operations all undergarments, to include cold weather undergarments, must be cotton or fire retardant material and must be on the safe to fly list maintained by Aircrew Flight Equipment (AFE). Undershirts will be crewneck style and tan in color. Exception: Wing Commanders may authorize Airmen to wear a designated unit standardized color undershirt on Fridays, or during special events.
  25. So you're saying a 7x14 enclosed trailer filled top to bottom with everything except a motorcycle I probably shouldn't claim? Looking at the rules it says you can claim a trailer if it's less that 8x12. Is that total length (hitch to tail light) or nominal length (box size... stop laughing, pervs)? If so, I may be returning my trailer for a slightly smaller one.
