  1. And that car for 4,200? Not likely.
  2. Yes. All pilot selects at my det are having to go through the process of getting a top secret. That's before you even go to UPT.
  3. This guy is an idiot. He says a bomber is a flying death trap. I just typed in world of warcraft f-22 into google and it took me there. And if I read it right he says the F-22 is effective at carpet bombing. Now, I'm just a senior in college but WTF? https://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.h...05133&sid=1
  4. Ok this is off topic but thought I'd ask. I remember hearing a while back about a flight program that USAA does. You give them your flight pay every month and after like 20 years they give you about 1 million depending on the market. Anyone know of this or participating in it?
  5. Hey I just got an 06 Katana 750 a few months ago. I'm going up to Deals Gap next weekend. Anyone been? Looks like an awesome ride.
  6. Yeah I had pain while doing pushups too. There wasn't anything at first and after a month or two a small bump appeared and it was a cyst. If I didn't use it too much it was small or go away but when I started lifted and pushups again the bump would come back. I decided to get it removed about 2 months ago and now I'm good as new.
  7. I saw a dude today at Wal Mart with a bunch of groceries at around 2 o clock with the closest ARMY base around 45 minutes away.
  8. This doesn't answer your question but I have one to add to it. Can scholarship cadets travel Space-A? I know we'd be on the bottom of the list but is it even possible or just active duty?
  9. Do AF bases have the lemon lot? I know ARMY bases do but the only sucky thing is you have to leave your car there.
  10. Does anyone know the Air Force, well military, definition and difference between a mishap and an accident? We found out about the types of mishaps but that is about it. It's for a class here and our Captain is telling us he doesn't know of one but the teacher is riding our ass about it. Any help would be appreciated. [ 20. 11. Or the kids who could of really cared less in high school such as myself.
  12. That depends on your detachment. At ours starting second semester as a freshmen is when you are assigned a flight and start holding responsibilities.
  13. Ahh ok. Guess I need to slow down on the reading.
  14. Hey my dad just retired a few months ago. I dont know if the Army is different or not but I think it was voluntary to do it. I may be wrong but I think they gave him the option.
  15. I got my private a few months back. When you have to take the re-check in like 3 years is it the whole thing over again or just a small version of the original test?
  16. Haha dammit. Yeah, I'm going by gph.
  17. C-150 5-6 lb/hr...haha damn I need to upgrade
  18. I know they send you to work with a squadron for a while before UPT while you wait, correct? Normally how much free time do you have before you go do this though?
  19. I think most of the MPs bring it on themselves. They're not required to be assholes just because they have a history of being ones. Personally, haven't had much contact with any of them but the one thing I do remember about them was a private MP that come up to the commissary when I worked up there and said he was waiting on his "date" to get off, and it turned out to be like a 40 year old lady that was not the best looking, to say the least. Gave me a laugh for the day.
  20. Well I dont know about AF bases but I know the MP's on Army bases are anal about this. Normally youll get a ticket for doing 5 over. Seems like most of them are young dudes who think they are the shizznit that noone likes.
  21. Too bad that one guy WXpunk recorded with all of those stories isn't on this board or he'd show all of us up, especially the one about him in a F-14(?) doing flying like +Mach 4.
  22. Yea, Ive lived around Rucker for 6 years or so and dad is a W4. If you want to fly in the Army youre whole career, definitely go Warrant. Even though the pay is less, you dont have to put up with near as much crap. You still have office work and such but not to the extent as officers. That one guy was right when he said you hardly ever fly after you reach Captain. If you're more worried about pay, promotions, and after retirement, then go officer. Just depends on the person.
  23. Oh ok. I had heard of it going both ways. Some people said since you're the only one in it you have to be PIC? Others, including my instructor, told me that I can't log PIC until I become rated in a thing. Such as having my PPL, but working on multi engine I could log PIC of that since I was already rated. Thanks for the help though.
  24. Well, I guess this ain't gonna help you, but I do have another question. This is for GA. Right now I have like 39.6 hours, about to do my 5 hours cross country and then practicing manuevers for the checkride. Outta that is like 10 hours of solo, and I was told that it isn't PIC time until after I get my license, before I can log it as that. I'm just curious, if I'm the only one in the airplane how cant I not be the PIC? Makes no sense to me.
  25. I don't know where he got that info from but totally wrong from what I've seen. It's really competitive. Few years back Dad applied to it as a 64 driver with like 3000 hrs and got denied. Fixed wings are great in the Army from what I've heard.
