  1. For comparison, in the Herk we do stalls and falls in the sim every year.
  2. How do you know when there's a nav at a party? Trick question, navs don't get invited to parties.
  3. The next question is, did he at least key the mic and say, "Lead, you're on fire." If not, then he broke the second rule, too. God help him if he didn't take the fat chick, either.
  4. I don't understand what's so damn hard about this. If a crewmember walks into the safety office and asks to see the results of a SIB, the FSO should bring it up on their computer, let the member read/watch/listen to EVERYTHING, remind them that it is privileged information, then let them get back to their job a little wiser than before. Nothing leaves the safety office, or gets uploaded to youtube, and no privileged info gets compromised. How fucking difficult is that? We are all professionals and we constantly complain about not being treated that way by our senior leaders whenever we're battling the latest nanny policy pushed out by big blue. If my example above isn't happening, well, now we've managed to fail at treating EACH OTHER like professionals, too. We need to pull our collective heads out of our asses and fix this ASAP.
  5. Anyone who didn't see that writing on the wall months or even years ago hasn't been paying much attention.
  6. Correct. Private browsing is your problem. The only way to get what you want is to view the page in the normal browsing mode.
  7. Jesus, look at that mustache! He must have been the shittiest officer in history!
  8. I just tried it out on my iPhone and Sir Mix-A-Lot would be very happy with the amount of back that I had on my screen. Is yours loading the BODN mobile site, or the full site? Mine goes to the mobile site and the back button is not immediately visible. As soon as I scroll up, though, there is a back button that appears at the top of the web page as well as the safari back button at the bottom. Are you not getting either one?
  9. Heh. Good one.
  10. It's black. It looks scary. We must pass common sense legislation that rids the streets of these killing machines.
  11. This right here is exactly the problem. Fear gets in the way of common sense among far too many of our senior leaders. Unfortunately, that's a weakness that's rewarded at every level of our organization these days. I don't agree with many of your points, but good on ya for taking the spears here anyway.
  12. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. RIP, USAF.
  13. H1's & early H2's have them as well. Can I sign off my systems refresher now?
  14. H's manage just fine in Reno at 4500' in a bowl. Great Falls should be no problem.
  15. Apparently the environmental assessment is still pending for the Great Falls airport, which is why they are unsure of the timing for their deliveries. There may or may not be a delay, they just don't know. Could be worse, at least they'll still have airplanes...for now.
  16. Had a couple MT dudes around our squadron today picking our brains. They said they're looking to hire 12 AGR's across all crew positions for the conversion. They're not sure when they're receiving their first tails, though.
  17. Keeping up with current events, eh? You might want to check the date on that article. Or, you know, you could check out the extensive discussion in this thread from a year ago.
  18. A lot. It takes quite a bit of forward pressure on the yoke while the heavier loads are exiting. Of greater concern, though, is in the case where the load doesn't exit. It might still hit the DZ, but the extraction chutes you're dragging behind you will ensure you'll be joining it.
  19. Hasn't been the same since the fire. *sigh
  20. No shit. It gets even better: Read more here: https://www.sacbee.com/2013/07/24/5590535/man-accused-of-posing-as-helicopter.html#storylink=cpy
  21. Man who flew Channel 3 helicopter arrested for flying without a license.
