  3. Has anyone transfered credit from ACSC correspondence to AMU? Seems like if you get your masters in National Security, they will transfer the max amount of credits from ACSC...something like 15 or 18 credits.

  7. I'm not sure I'd fly OEF w/o TCAS. I have zero trust in Wizard, Pyramid, or Miser.

  9. My personal fav is when idiots don't pause a few seconds after tuning a new freq to find out if somone had just made a radio call. I love it when I make a radio all requesting for higher and before center/control has a chance to respond, some idiot pipes in "checking in at 350". Side note: I think C-17 gear up landing jokes are funny. Sounds like a few folks need some thicker skin.

  11. Totally agree. My head hurts from reading this. I don't give a flying fuck what order you come in or how you flow. Just don't hit me, each other, or someone else. I also don't mind having the receiver give me a recommendation on which way to turn, how fast to fly, etc. The quicker we get together and you get your gas, the quicker I can get back to eating my hot wings (fresh out the oven), and the quicker I am to getting the RTB call from Wizard.

  13. I used the USAA app the other day to deposit a check. Crazy that you can take a picture of the check and the money gets put into your account in about 5 seconds.

  17. Give me a fucking break. Everyone else that has flown a night nvg tac approach didn't have problems lowering the gear. A difficult approach does not rationalize the fact that they forgot the most important part of a successful approach/landing...LANDING GEAR--DN.

  19. They are no longer PTLs...their official name is the FAC (Fitness Assessment Cell). Does anyone know if there are maximum times in between events? I like to knock out my pushups, situps, & run pretty close to each other so that I'm still warmed up. I'm going to pissed if I have to wait a half-hour between shit.
  20. If you can get access (and a CAC reader), SMS will allow you to see all of the flights in/out of places along with the mission remarks. Makes traveling space-a easy! Flew space-a to Hawaii with the fam again this fall with absolutely no problems. If you are AD and travel between Sep-Nov & late-Jan to early May, you shouldn't have many problems most places. We were able to get on every flight we wanted to out of Travis & Hawaii. Traveling during the summer months & holidays is doable, but not quite as easy. ATI cargo flies a DC-8 to/from Travis & Hawaii once a week w/32 seats each time. Comes complete with 2 flight attendants, in-flight movies, hot meals, drinks...ALL FOR FREE! Can't be beat!
  21. Your duty title really does say Pilot? Thats funny, because every duty title I've had starts off with something other than pilot...i.e. EXECUTIVE OFFICER/IAC. I'm not sure what airframe/base you are from, but these days guys get better strats on their OPRs from being a kick ass office workers/training officer/ass licker than being a kick ass instructor. The leadership could give 2 shits if you can take gas from a tanker like a bad ass or land the jet better than Jesus. Just as long as you don't fuck anything up. I obviously can't speak for every community, but in the heavy world, flying is the additional duty for 90% of the pilots. The other 10% are the guys in FTU learning the fly the jet. Every pilot is a lawyer...you have to be when reading your Vol 2 & 3. "The way this reads to me is...."
