  1. No, but when you go to the airlines, you’ll be hammered when your app gets scored... I’d just go traditional, your future self will thank you.

  3. I'm a guard KC-135 guy who went 38's because there was a slot and I did well in t-6's. Wouldn't trade the experience in the 38 for anything. PM me if you need info... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Have your DO or another officer from your unit look her up in global and contact her. I went through something very similar. I can be quite frustrating when dealing with NCOs that don't care.
  5. Unless... you ask your PT NCO to input your scores based on your word. It worked for me. Just ask, the worst they can tell you is no.
  6. Just sent it in to finance... Thanks Guys!
  7. Which form is this...? Finance told me I will just get an extra $400.00 in my pay at some point in the year Thanks for the help!
  8. To add on to the above post… Do not take academics lightly! Do not let your flight mates take them lightly! As a fellow 14-04 grad, we saw about 10 folks eliminated from the program for an academic average below 80% . They had no sympathy for any one. They even removed some people week 6. There is nothing hard about academics at AMS but passing the tests requires some studying. Any additional questions, just ask.
  9. I’m a civilian instructor going to UPT in July. A solo student flying a DA20 made nose low landing that resulted in a prop strike (the prop on a DA20 is fiberglass/wood meant to break off to avoid engine damage). The student then decided that the best course of action was to perform a go-around. Surprisingly enough the airplane held together and the student taxied back to the flight school. He came in and reported “excessive vibrations”. No shit, one side of the prop had about 1/3 of it missing. This student is now a regional pilot in India.
  10. I spoke with an AMS instructor a couple weeks ago, his ad advice was not to try and memorize anything before hand. He said that he'll just keep asking you questions until you get something wrong then you do push ups... no big deal
  11. I was there last week for my buddies commissioning ceremony and I spoke to a couple instructors. The rumor is we’ll have more field training. They kind of hinted that the academics would be slightly different but still no official revisions to the syllabus… Anybody heard anything different?
  12. Yes. My orders were amended to show AMS being extended to 7.5 weeks of training.
  13. A buddy of mine (who is currently in AMS) says thats why they extended it- to add weapons training... (Extended to 7.5 weeks)
  14. Thats the class dates, no travel included in my orders.
  15. My Orders "say" 23MAR14-14MAY14... but I fully expect that to change.
  16. My packet was approved shortly after I was fc1 qualified ... I got AMS dates and UPT dates all at once, they even sent me orders with what airplane I'd be flying during phase 2. Two other guys from my unit got their dates within a few days after completing the fc1 though... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I think it depends on your UPT date... I'm pretty sure they'll bump non flyers to make room for you if you have a class date and need to commision.
  18. See ya there!
  19. Looking for people sloted in this class... Any ideas why they extended it?
  20. Yep, just got my amended TLN's.... 7.5 weeks is the new norm I guess.
  21. Nope, just invited to interview...
  22. The POC for last years pilot board was CPT. Sniadecki, Cezary... I dont have his number any more, but i hope the name helps.
  23. I called the number for "AMS questions" on the website and asked... I was told its still a rumor nothing is set in stone yet. My luck, it will be 7.5 weeks...
  24. I recently got my RIP's and my dates are 31mar14 to 09May14... class 14-04 It aslo still says those dates on the website... Do you have orders that include travel?
