  1. There are guys in my squadron that went through both. K-falls is a great area, and they get a lot more tankers for the b-coursers (fight-tank-fight's are fun). From my .02 as an IP, it seems that the guys that go through TY get a bit better training. As for the women, it all depends on where you live and what time of year you go there. But, it's always the redneck rivera no matter what time of year... [ 17. October 2006, 21:52: Message edited by: EvilEagle ]
  2. Makin' is still in. He's on the Saudi exchange right now...
  3. My personal favorite: "I'm a zambony (Sp?) driver."
  4. Rainman: "2"
  5. I'd say (like most things) it depends. If you are one of those dudes that yells at yourself when you f$#k up (like I used to do), or yells at someone else when they f$#k up, do yourself a favor and turn the intercom down after you title in. For a while, dudes will want to hear your G-strain, so you might have to at least keep the intercom up for that. I had to stop my cussing habits (or at least try) once I became an IP because I talk into my tapes about stuff the stud is doing.
  6. The cost associated isn't that much for the gov. It's a VERY normal thing, most of the guys in my old squadron at LN bought new cars over there because it's cheaper and they ship them back for you for free. If you do ship it back, make sure your insurance covers you -- the gov only insures them to $20k or something. It depends on the state and how long you've had the car as far as the tax issue goes.
  7. Here's Pre-contact (Sort of) Cons on the way to the fight @ Cope T Formation T/O WSEP I'm holding waiting for the wx to clear. That is LN, just under the HUGE anvil.
  8. Yep, standard rotator from Baltimore to Mildenhall. Used to stop at the Lages on the way home, but I've heard they may be cancelling it. It was great if you are into crying babies and dogs! But, it was MUCH less asspain than flying into London -- that is painful!
  9. Yep, we just go with the standard issued stuff. There may be a few folks that want to carry something different. I don't know anyone, but then again, we don't plan on having to use it. Ask a Viper guy....
  10. Holy thread revival! But, in any case, one thing that hasn't been addressed as far as cross-flow is TX/RTU availability. It's hard for guys that are previously qual'd in fighters to get back in the cockpit, much less guys that have no experience. My bro's that are IFF IP's at Moody are telling me that AFPC told them there will be no TX courses available for them when they finish their smurf jet tour. Times are tough right now....
  11. Definately a good deal. I got about 30 Fighting Falcon rides before going to UPT. It helped a bit with G's, but the stuff you do in Tweets/T-6's doesn't have much in common with your average fighter sortie. Like Rainman said, do it cause it's fun!
  12. C models don't have any ground avoidance/warning system. We don't even have a radar altimeter.
  13. A guy in my old squadron married a Czech girl. It caught the security managers wrath because he just turned up married one day, no paperwork before-hand or anything. It might make it tough on you, but be upfront about it. I've been dating an English girl for a couple of years and it's been ass pain in the security side of the house, but it's better to let them know about it up front. They will find out.

We had a sweet hous in England that everybody called "The Alamo" It had an indoor pool, bar, 3 living rooms, office, formal dining, 7 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms and a 5 car garage. That was pretty sweet, we had HUGE parties there. Good times... good times...
  15. When you start mixing MDS's or in any kind of big war/fight/red flag/training/whatever, then it's important to go to the joint standard. I know in the C model world, we have to be checked in on one radio at all times. (plus, tower, departure and the fight freq)
  16. The Eagle has A/C sort of. It works pretty decent while airborne, not so much on the ground. The priority is that big ass radar and avionics, then keeping you cool. Desert in the summer = no A/C till 25k'
  17. No, that is brake release to touchdown (+5). Depending on the location of your MOA, that's probably 25-30 minutes of turn-and-burn time.
  18. It depends, the more qualified you are, the more you fly. IP's are always the high fliers and wingmen are usually the low fliers because there are only certain positions the wingmen can fly in, where IP's/flight leads can fly anywhere. Typically you get around 3 sorties a week. As an inexperienced guy, you are supposed to get 10 sorties a month to maintain CMR (Combat Mission Ready) status. My friends in the guard fly more than I do. And as far as just flying around the flag pole, that isn't true at all. I know guard guys that have gone all over the world for exercises, not to mention creek exchanges. The ANG does regular AEF rotations and they participate in FLAG's, etc. Having said that, I think there are more things to consider besides just hours. I racked up a ton of hours bringing jets to and from the states when I was at Lakenheath, but I didn't get much out of those sorties. What you do get a lot out of is the 0.7 clean BFM hops. As said before, hours does not (in a fighter) = a good (fighter) pilot.
  19. You said it. Rek is pretty much our standard weekend push... hey... it's almost the weekend!!!
  20. Bergman, What else do you do here? We've gone to the lagoon, it's a must for every group at least once. It's still pretty crappy here, so we haven't been doing much sightseeing. Couple of Rek trips and up to Akuyari.
  21. Oh, and our official mission here is "To deter aggression in the northern atlantic."
  22. And the top of the Viking female gene pool. Yummy.
  23. But that's only the first half of the first verse! And as I lay down there beside her, I knew right away I had sinned (I HAD SINNED) I put my lips to her sweet p*$$y and sucked out the wad I shot in (SHOT IN) Chorus: Sucked out, sucked out I sucked out the wad I shot in (SHOT IN) repeat once 2nd verse: I sucked out the wad from her p*$$y I sucked out the wad from her ear I sucked out the wad from between her bit t!t$ and then I sucked down a cold beer (COLD BEER) chorus with "down a cold beer" 3rd verse: My one skin lies over my two skin my two skin lies over my three my three skin lies over my foreskin oh bring back my foreskin to me (TO ME) bring back, bring back.... and yes, that IS a GREAT song! :D
  24. Man, we had a great idea, but got shot down by my classmates. (standard) Homer Simpson in a flight suit, holding a plate of chicken wings. He's drooling and his thought bubble says "Mmm.... Wings..." Simple, but I thought it was classic. Flame away...
  25. To answer the original question, it will be two seperate squadrons. The DO from my last squadron is going to be the CC of the Eagle aggressors.
