  1. Are married couples still required to live on base? Also, I understand they are building/remodeling houses there? Truth to that?
  2. Does this mean more classes at Tyndall then? Or opening the rumor mill of more classes there anyway? Or is everyone still slated for K-Falls?
  3. So I've been lookin at base housing for the lady and I since they have brand new 3 bedroom houses, it seems to be fairly far from the ops side of the house, looking at google earth anyway. How far of a drive is it with base speed limits and all? Also, does it take just as long to get through the gate from the housing side onto the ops side as it would rollin in from Mexico Beach or west of the base?
  4. Yeah bro, I went a very similar route, although I didn't have the engineering degree. I was in a sheet metal shop in the air guard for just about six years before I went to OTS and I think it had a lot to do with me getting picked up for a pilot slot along with some flying experience. Do you know any of the higher up pilots (i.e. sq/cc) that could write you a LOR? That would help if you had interviewed with them before, but either way, I think the guard experience will definitely help. What do you do in the guard?
  5. Yeah, I'd love to live on/near the beach, but like you, hate long drives to work. Are there any nice beach areas within 10 minutes for a Lt's BAH?
  6. Where is the best spot to live at Tyndall right now for B course students, i.e. a married Lt for instance? On base/Mexico Beach/Lynn Haven????
  7. Where in MO are you leaving from?
  8. yikes, sorry to stir the pot on that one, just curious if someone was "in the know" and sounds like we found him. Thanks
  9. Does anybody know how they're workin the F15C pipeline now that they're droppin em again? i.e. wait time to get started/location (tyndall or klamath falls)?
  10. Not on the T38C either, got the DTC though if you can recover that somehow, might be able to get a little info from that as far as what the plane was doin
  11. In the American Flyers renewal program, are the tests timed?

well dude, keep ur nugget up and the whole "be ready for anything," doesn't change at all in UPT, it will follow you all the way through. Just a tip, have a BRI card ready for each different ride ur opted for and just leave the T/O times blank. Just a tip from someone who's been unprepared before. And Good Luck with the good ole stan tests!!
  13. sounds good on everything, and the hang up on the -22s is just that I haven't seen one up close yet, so I didn't know if they were able to show us or anything like that. Just a young buck wanting to check out the latest and greatest up close that's all. MT near,I'm at Whiting now, will be at Vance before too long. Are you at Vance I take it? Class #?
  14. awesome thanks for the replies.....as far as the f-22s out there, are ops squadrons usually somewhat accomodating if we drop in for a look around??
  15. So I'm gonna be goin to the fuge in the not so distant future for t-38s at holloman. I've heard the -117 pilots used to be pretty cool as far as showin you around the jets and whatever else once you're done with the fuge. Is there anything like this still goin on out there now with the -22s? Just wonderin if there's anything really cool we can do while we're out there besides getting our faces mushed in, in the fuge and besides stayin at the camino....
  16. VN had a -22 as well.....1 bone, -15E, and similar to the other drop listed. -135 to mildenhall as well as kadena, a c-21. not real sure on the rest. Good to see 22s back in it again
  17. ummm, well we got the big speech, NO PORN OR ANYTHING EVEN REMOTELY SUGGESTIVE. Stupid, I know, but whatever.
  18. Well, nothing significant happened on my dollar ride at all, and nothing has really happened with this IP since then either. Just lookin for some dollar ride ideas from folks out there? thanks
