Is that off the MSRP? that's the street price for most Vortex scopes anyways. But still good to know, would have been better to know two weeks ago but whatever...... For a scope with 6x magnification range and 300ish bucks it's a hell of a deal. It's heavy and there's some minor distortion, see point one again. Even at 1x it's still a scope, not a red dot so the focal distance is to the scope not to the target. You can focus on the target but the reticle will be out of focus, it still works fine that way but something to keep in mind. I hate shitty scopes but any nit-picking with the optical quality is just that in this case. I'd buy from Vortex again.

Had a busted ass Stag carbine. New barrel, muzzle brake and blemished free float tube from Brownells, throw in a new scope for good measure and wallah! 7.3 pounds unloaded and the brake spits blast back in your face, but it shoots flat. First AR I've put together myself, no idea if it's actually a winner yet since I've only been able to shoot frang through it (flyers, there be flyers) and only 25 yards.

Just don't eat anything they've touched with their left hand, or right really. Or walked on, I heard they do that walking on food thing... Oh yeah, flea powder; you're gonna need that

It's obnoxiously loud, heavy, spits flame, and is so impracticle you can't even shoot store bought ammo in it. It's fucking awesome.

I have a Glock 26 and 19 and have shot a 43 that I rented at the range, I wear size 10 gloves for reference. I couldn't get a solid two handed grip on the 43, but it is very thin which would be nice for carry and it isn't a range toy anyways. That said the recoil wasn't bad or anything, just wasn't fun to shoot. I can get a decent grip on the 26 with the pinky extender deals, but given the referenced girth if I was to do it all over again I'd skip the 26 and just have the 19 as it isn't much of a weight difference. May have to try out a Shield though.

Well, I'm certainly on the way to correcting the problem then.

First USPSA match in the bag! I highly recommend it, lots of fun and the other shooters (at least the club I shot at) were very helpful.

Incidentally, the internet seems to be full of folks buying Brown/Wilson/etc guns then bragging about how accurate they are by posting 2 inch groups shot at 10 yards. Then some other dope congratulates them on their purchase and great shooting. These same idiots will then go on about how inaccurate those damn Glocks are.... I'm busdriver and I'm a 1911 addict, but some folks need to buy more bullets and less guns. ETA: 2 inches is generous usually
