  1. Ummm…the Army does it all the time. Also, going back to straight to rotor wing only training for Air Force helo pilots is how it was always done before the mid/early 90s.
  2. As much as I think it’s kind of messed up for FSU to go undefeated in a “top” conference (ACC is pretty weak these days), I definitely don’t think they are one of the 4 best teams. Good on the committee for getting it right this year.
  3. Ohio State did in 2014/15.
  4. Saw this posted on FB…
  5. This is what happens when the left’s demand for calling out racism exceeds supply
  6. Lying to your own people…so much freedom and democracy. I remember when progressives weren’t too happy when they said Bush was lying.
  7. Could any of you imagine the US being in a war these days and the US government straight up lying/not telling the American people/the press on how many American troops have been killed? Yet we see that happening from both Russia and Ukraine. Putin is complete crap and Ukraine is definitely not some type of democracy we should be bragging about. If the goal of the US government is to pay Ukraine (since they were the one attacked), in order to fight/kill Russians and severely weaken Russia’s military, then the US government should just come out and say it…there’s a legitimate national security argument to be made in doing so. But to say we actually care about Ukraine because of who they are, their “democracy”, that’s just bs.
  8. Come on man, that’s not fair…
  9. I’m of the opinion that this has been his philosophy for quite a while, definitely spanning while he was on AD and being a high member of the intel community.
  10. He was a top General in the Air Force and was one of the top guys in the intelligence world…let this sink in for a minute about what people in these positions think.
  11. Did they only tell certain people who supported certain political parties, etc that they could/couldn’t eat at a chow hall because of their shorts? Singling out those who follow one political party/ideology and not the other is far worse than anything I saw 20 years ago.
  12. The Air Force doesn’t want its members to go a conservative rally…shocking. https://www.foxnews.com/us/air-force-base-warns-service-members-avoid-rally-speaker-pro-trump-group
  13. When Trump is literally compared to Hitler by those who have held top government positions, anything is possible.
  14. Last I checked, suspending elections is about as far from democracy as you can get.
  15. Doesn’t sound like equality to me…
  16. Harbaugh is suspended from coaching during games for the rest of the regular season…and right before they play Penn State tomorrow.
  17. A few simple questions if you want to have an honest debate: 1) At what point in a pregnancy do you personally think it should be illegal to terminate a pregnancy if the mother is not at a health risk (physically) to continue her pregnancy? 2) Similar to the question above, at what point in a woman’s pregnancy do Democrats on a national stage want to ban abortions? And can you provide a source for your response? 3) Why aren’t Democrats as supportive of organizations that try to convince women to not have an abortion and assist were her pregnancy as they are with organizations that support/perform abortions?
  18. You’re dreaming man. And not just on the Republican side, but I’d say mostly on the Democrat side—the left could easily pass a bill in the Senate that says federal law protects abortion up until 4 months but then it’s against the law to do it afterwards. But that’s not what the left wants—their entire argument is “it should be left up to a woman and her (abortion) doctor”…which means zero bans. So sure, could the GOP play politics and vote for the 4 month ban as I suggested? Sure…though of course they’ll never do it for obvious reasons. And the left would also not vote for it since they don’t want any restrictions. So politically I don’t know where this goes from here on out. I do know that the majority of the country is not for abortion on demand. But they’re also not for a complete ban. In the end, the state issue makes since, both Constitutionally and politically. But I agree, if the GOP pushes for federal ban, not only will they not get it, but that it doesn’t help them at all politically. In the end, as much as I think abortion is morally unacceptable, we’ve got much bigger problems going on. It’s a distraction compared to massive fiscal shitshow brewing.
  19. Well, now that’s it done, what do you recommend the GOP do going forward?
  20. What the military used to offer as incentives (college, health care, some money) the left wants to give people for doing little to nothing to earn it. And for what the military does offer that is truly meaningful (discipline, skills, teamwork, etc), these are actually earned through hardwork, dedication, and sacrifice…something fewer and fewer people are willing to do. This is where the US is headed as a culture. None of this is surprising.
  21. I honestly think that’s a good thing he helped one of his constituents (also it’s their job). But if you think that the massive out of control spending is a problem, then you have to hold those who vote for this crap accountable.
  22. When you’re voting for bad legislation, then you’re not striving to improve things. And very, very few politicians often vote against their own parties on principe. Rounds supported bad legislation, so yes, he is part of the problem. And anyone who is bragging about how great politicians are…yeah, I question if they truly understand the big problem.
  23. Wait…it’s popular to be disgusted with an institution that has put us over $33T in debt? I’m disgusted whether it’s popular or not popular. As as for Rounds, just because I might share some philosophical opinions as him, doesn’t mean he’s also not part of the problem. The 2019 NDAA was another massive spending bill, $21B over the previous year. Yep, the majority of the GOP love massive deficit spending as well. We have a big problem in DC, and I don’t think it’s gets much better when the people with an R next to their name are in charge vs the other party. So that’s cool that you’re a fan of this stuff, but let’s not pretend these Senators are truly willing to fix the real problems we have. You’re either a fan of much bigger government (yes, to include the DoD) or you’re not.
  24. So the Dems supported Israel’s right to defend itself for about, what, 3.5 weeks?
