  1. It’s all good man. They’re still having a great season, this was just a nasty bump on the road. It is disappointing to lose (especially this badly) to a fellow service academy, and one that was 2-6 before the game started. My initial argument was I didn’t believe they were better than the teams they were ranked above in the coaches and writers polls. I hope they finish strong and get a great bowl game.
  2. Definitely not looking good…against a rival…that currently has a 2-6 record.
  3. If what you’re trying to say is that every policy decision (regardless of who is in charge) is political, then I most definitely agree with you. Just like other have said, no one at the higher levels of government actually cared about Ukraine and their “democracy” (they’re pretty corrupt btw)…but that’s how it was continuously sold the last 1.5 years. So what changed? As for wanting to get rid of Biden but struggling because the question of who would they put in…I don’t disagree per se that this is what’s happening, but the clock is ticking. So unless they want to have the Dem convention select a candidate, and I don’t think that would go over well, even for many democrats, much less independents, they need to get on it and fast. If I had to pick an outcome, Biden is their guy unless he can not longer even speak in front of a camera. And if that were to happen, how does he not resign and Harris take over before the election? I’m only about 60% confident Biden will be their guy btw. So back to the Ukraine piece—I think the Dems will blame it on the GOP (shocker) when funding stops or becomes much, much less of what it is now. And then the Dems will pivot the focus away from foreign policy and back to abortion, race stuff, and more welfare here in our country.
  4. Those poor Senators…no time to do literally anything else but work to fight for the common man in the country and their specific states. It’s a shame to think they didn’t even have any time to meet with lobbyists, go to special events where they’re wined/dined, attend fundraising events for themselves or others, on and on. It’s amazing with how hard they all work that they can’t pass a budget on time, control spending, and make things better for the country.
  5. Is it just a coincidence that this shift is happening around the same time that the leftist media is somewhere in between (at best) questioning how Israel should respond to their horrible terrorist attack and (at worst) supporting the claim that Israel accepts some of the blame for the attack, or are totally to blame because of their “occupation” or “genocide of the Palestinians”? You can’t say you support and want to spend money defending a democracy in Ukraine when they’re attacked, but then say the opposite about Israel.
  6. Just so everyone else can see one of your earlier posts on the subject.
  7. You literally brought in politics to this exact same discussion a few weeks ago, and now you want to pretend you didn’t…nice try.
  8. I never said illegal, I said unacceptable. These universities have said they will not allow “hate speech” on their campuses, and threaten students who don’t use the “correct” pronouns. So using their own litmus test, these universities need get rid of these students and prohibit this “unacceptable” behavior. But they largely won’t…and why?—because the university leadership by and large share these same views. Let’s not pretend these left wing institutions ever supported free speech and dissenting viewpoints.
  9. So a self proclaimed leftist, who originally said that what we were seeing at the colleges was from extremely small groups, but being hyped up by the conservative media, is now saying that the leftists supporting Hamas is a problem…at the universities ran by leftists who are largely supporting these students…who are getting their disinformation from leftists groups (TikToc or otherwise). And finally he also supports the government implementing some kind of new regulations to add additional control over the information (I’m sure as long as it’s done by leftists). Here’s a thought—how about we hold people accountable for their own actions? If the universities believe these students are exhibiting unacceptable behavior, then kick them out…so let me know when all these students are removed from campuses.
  10. Two things can be true at the same time.
  11. While it’s impressive they’re undefeated for a service academy, they have played one team…only one…that currently has a wining record. And it’s not like Wyoming has many decent wins either. Does anyone really think that USAFA is better than Tennessee, Kansas, or USC?
  12. I doubt anything negative will happen to him.
  13. But isn’t recreational GA flying not good for the environment? And I’ve been told by some petty high up people that climate change is the most dangerous threat we’re facing.
  14. Does anybody not think that this GO would have personally signed off on the punishment/negative admin actions of IPs for having consensual sex with students? As for whether or not this GO was having consensual sex with a direct subordinate, I don’t know…but he had to know it was wrong (on many levels) and it definitely enters the zone of negative command influence…just like with IPs and students, if the student said they felt pressured, then that’s what they go with. So if the allegations are supported with facts/he is convicted and he serves some jail time, I won’t have a problem with it.
  15. Sounds like the alarms of “climate change”…
  16. What half the country thinks is right, the other half thinks is evil, and vice versa. But don’t worry, our country can be “fixed”.
  17. Max points
  18. You’re right…the media really should post the person’a seniority number when things like this happen so the rest of us can truly appreciate the depth of the situation.
  19. On the bright side, the Captain and FO now have a good “Tell me about a time…” story on their next interview.
  20. Nice first post…what else do you have to offer the forum? We’ll moderate until it’s more substantive.
  21. The left would find this totally reasonable if conservatives were the ones getting called out for being at a protest supporting hate/violence and subsequently getting told on/fired for it. Want another fun one with the hypocrisy of the left: They’re against Israelis building settlements in the West Bank (which is part of Israel)…and yet they’re totally ok with, and in fact support, illegal in immigrants coming in to the US and wanting to stay here permanently.
  22. Nixon voluntarily resigned…so yeah, your argument has nothing to do with this realistic potential that I proposed…unless you think Trump would win in 2024 and then resign. As for the process to remove Trump…ok, do you think that if Trump were to win in 2024 that the House would vote to impeach him and the Senate remove him after January20th, 2025 because he has been convicted in a state court? And as for the 25th Amendment, yeah, that won’t happen either. Like I said man, our differences on this issue are simple: You believe that if Trump were to win in 2024 that he won’t physically be in the WH come January 20, 2025 due to being in prison, and I disagree. We’ll have to wait and see…though Trump would still need to win in 2024 and as I said the other day, I give him a 40% chance, though the current polling has him winning vs not. But I think the majority of the polling is junk, so I don’t give it much credibility. As for your additional hypothetical that if Trump would win and would be in a Georgia prison on January 20th, 2025, do I think a January 6th situation would occur?…oh, it would be much, much worse. But it would be a “mostly peaceful protest” that the left supports lol.
  23. I literally said it’s the same reason why elites are rarely held to the same standard of regular day folks…or do you disagree with that as well? Throw that in with the basic idea that the country wouldn’t stay together if their elected president couldn’t be the president, and well, there’s my answer. You can disagree and call me stupid, but I seriously doubt I’m the only one on this forum who thinks in such way…or are we all stupid? I get it…you don’t like Trump. I also don’t like him, just for different reasons I’m sure. And if you think Trump’s biggest reason for running is so he doesn’t have to go to jail, then we disagree on many things (shocker). He actually believes he was cheated out of 2020 and he actually believes that he would do better than the other people running. He’s a jerk and a narcissist, no doubt. But his policies were overall much better than his predecessor and his successor. As for you believing it’s irrelevant whether the country survives or not…kind of makes the rest of the argument moot if it doesn’t, right? Feel free to quote me on this in the future: If Trump is the GOP nominee (likely, unfortunately) and wins in November 2024 (I give him 40% chance at this point), if he is still alive on January 20th, 2025, then he’s is physically in the White House…regardless if he’s a convicted felon in Georgia or anywhere else.
