  1. This was posted right after the LPA conference this past weekend—not saying you’re wrong, but publicly, AA is saying their plan is to hire 2K next year.
  2. Saw the new Beetlejuice…I thought it was kind of just “ok”.
  3. Who told you nobody was going to pursue one against you?—the convening authority, ie most likely your wing commander? Because that’s who officially sends you to an FEB. Did you write a response to the LOR? If you want more info on an FEB, you need to read the regs and talk with an ADC. But unless the LOR is completely bogus, then it sounds like you messed up and now the AF is wanting to make the case that you shouldn’t be flying because of your lack of judgement, character, etc. Without knowing the exact details, it’s kind of hard to give you advice from the peanut gallery…and as others have mentioned, it’s smart to just keep your mouth shut and away from social media. My only general advice is (if you haven’t done so already) to seek out a couple close friends/family members who you really trust, can give you honest feedback, and who can keep an eye on you to make sure you don’t allow this take you into dark(er) places. Even if the AF takes your wings away and involuntarily separates you, this doesn’t mean that you can’t live the best life possible from this day forward. But that will take ownership of what you did, and realizing why you did it, etc and how to right the ship in your life. Good luck and please be safe.
  4. So it sounds like you do know why…now whether it’s legit is the question. Your original post made it sound like you truly were surprised, which you’re not. There’s more to this than you’re telling us.
  5. I agree with everything you said…my response was to Raimius who seemed to make the argument that the LEO was intentionally wanting to murder the guy, which I very much disagree unless there is clear evidence to the contrary.
  6. Do you actually think he wanted to murder that person in that moment for no reason, or perhaps had wanted to murder anyone for no reason? Or do you think he was just extremely negligent in performing his duties?
  7. If you perceive someone as a threat, then that wouldn’t surprise me to use that many rounds…would it concern you if the LEO used that many rounds on a suspect who initially shot at him? You shoot to stop the perceived threat, and if in that moment you rapidly fire off 7-8 rounds (or whatever) then that’s what it took. The entire question is did the LEO act reasonably/within his legal scope when performing his duties in this situation.
  8. RFK is effectively out, and is endorsing Trump. My guess is this will equate to an overall permanent +1 to 2 points for Trump.
  9. Sure, but me personally, it won’t change how I live. But if I were barely middle class, it would definitely change how I lived.
  10. I said it won’t affect my life much. We live well below our means so the everyday price increases we see at the grocery store, getting my haircut, my kid’s gymnastics, etc due to inflation is annoying, but it doesn’t change our spending habits. Maybe I should be buying more toys?
  11. Right now I give the election a 50/50 toss up. That all being said, if Kamala wins, then the economic pain that continues/gets worse is owned by those who voted for her. The people who will be screwed the most are the low and mids of the middle class. By definition I’m in the upper class and while I will continue to be annoyed with the sticker shock when I go to the grocery store of Walgreens, it won’t affect my life much. But for the others I mentioned…those who are trying to improve their lives by making good decisions, they’ll have to continue to make touch choices when it comes to their budget. To be fair, I don’t think that Trump would be some miracle cure to the economy since we as a country have lost our ways economically, and both political parties have F’d it up. But I’ll vote for the guy who wants less regulation and is pro-business any day over someone who is desiring price controls.
  12. But according to the left, JD Vance is “weird”…
  13. No, it’s really not. I’m able to think for myself without having Putin influence me. Your argument is the same as those saying someone was pro-Saddam Hussein if that person was against the invasion of Iraq. I can be anti-Putin and also anti spending $175 Billion thus far on supporting Ukraine. Nothing will ever get cut if the argument is “X is only tens of billions of dollars”.
  14. $175 Billion…sorry, there you go. https://www.cfr.org/article/how-much-us-aid-going-ukraine
  15. Afraid not…and it’s irrelevant if some of that money appropriated for Ukraine goes to our military industrial complex. It only continues to add to our current $2 Trillion deficit. You can think this helps our economy, but I very much disagree.
  16. Dude, you’ve lost me if your position is that someone can’t be against giving hundreds of billions of dollars to Ukraine without believing/being part of some “Russian propaganda” nonsense.
  17. If you don’t think that all of our unnecessary spending doesn’t add up, maybe you’d be been listening to too many clowns.
  18. He’s a leftist who is (in a fancy way) suggesting that inflation was due to “corporate greed” vs a massive increase of the money supply without an associated economic growth (ie too many dollars chasing the same/fewer good and resources).
  19. Why would I do this for you?—do tedious work to prove something that is obviously a fact, even if you want to bear around the bush rather than agree. If you don’t want to believe that inflation hasn’t drastically increased from 2019 to today, then that’s ok as you can have your head in the sand. I previously told you that our weekly bills have increased with no significant changes to our weekly purchases, but yet asked me again anyway, which shows you don’t care to engage in a real conversation.
  20. The UK was never a free country…neither are we.
  21. Well, the grocery bills increased quite a bit since 2019, without much change in what we generally purchase. If I had to guess it’s an increase of at least 25%, if not more. Is my argument any less accurate if I have not directly compared receipts from 2019 and today of an item by item list?
  22. Well, I thought most educated people would be smart enough to realize the negativity of the “unstable debt” with how it relates to causing high inflation, reduced purchasing power, etc…you know, things that people generally don’t like.
  23. Thanks for the clarification…but just so I understand, this isn’t costing the American taxpayer any money, is that what you’re suggesting? https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-room/statements-releases/2024/07/10/joint-statement-on-f-16s-for-ukraine-from-u-s-president-joseph-r-biden-dutch-prime-minister-dick-schoof-and-danish-prime-minister-mette-frederiksen/#:~:text=The Danish and Dutch governments, operational F-16s this summer.
  24. Enjoy your inflation and reduced purchasing power…
  25. I very much would like for all of this to be “up to them”, but unfortunately our federal government seems to love giving them hundreds of billions of dollars of money/resources, putting us further and further into an unsustainable debt. Giving them F-16s will only most likely lead to spending more money/resources, especially training and mx costs. But hey, our defense industry appreciates the business.
