Concur man. Many years ago I had a Major tell a group of us Lts/Capts to not talk about money in front of the enlisted (especially the younger airmen), for obvious reasons. Additionally, my wife and I fortunately both do pretty well, and I’m not a big fan of always talking about money, luxury items even with peers. If money/possessions is all someone can/wants to talk about then we’re just two very different people.

Not sure what gay pride has to do with people also wanting to be able to perform drag shows in front of young children, but from my vantage point, the two seem to be connected somehow these days. Like many on here, I also have good friends who are gay, and I’m glad they can live their lives as they desire (the government needs to stay out of the marriage issue all together btw). But I find it interesting (and strange) how the left wants to be able to lump drag queen shows in front of young children as part of gay rights? Or how banning gender surgical operations for children is a bad thing?

Just know that in the T-6 you can’t be that close, that’s why I was surprised. Back in my T-37 days as a stud I remember the IPs occasionally doing ET3 and if I had to guess the range was similar to that of the T-6.

Biden screwed himself/the Dems saying he would only sign a clean bill. The GOP passed a bill to raise the debt and if McCarthy allows for a clean bill to go forward, his control and speakership is done. My prediction: It won’t be a clean debt raise. Even in 2011/2012 the debt raise showdown was eventually tied to future triggers to cut/slow the spending growth (sequestration). And I don’t see Biden using the 14th Amendment since Congress controls the spending.

Oh it’s messed up for sure, but that’s where we’re at. Eventually if it’s gets bad enough, then a strong majority of people will say it needs to stop. But we’re not even close to that point yet, so the insanity not only continues, it will get much worse.

Follow these simple steps: 1) Don’t go to NYC, if you do, don’t ride the subway 2) Keep to yourself…it’s not worth helping other random people against a criminal, especially if you’re in an area/state that values race above all else and also cares about criminals over others 3) If someone is attacking you, hopefully you’re not in a city/county/state (as mentioned in #2), but if you need defend yourself, make sure you’re verbally telling the criminal/people around you that you’re fearing for your life, etc before you take action if you can. Im definitely not an attorney, but this seems to make some sense these days.

We are truly living in an era where just about anyone can feel like they’re a victim for one reason or another. One of those areas is the “haves vs have nots”…the enlisted, more specifically the younger ones, can easily believe they’re part of the “have nots”, especially when compared to the officers. But like you said, if a young enlisted member plays it smart, they can easily exponentially improve their pay, education, skills, etc in not a long time. But hey, it’s easier to play the victim card or tell people they’re a victim.

I think the OP should ask his soon to be T-1 IPs for their advice…
