Yeah, Nigeria is soooo awesome lol... https://www.bbc.com/news/world-africa-13809501 And calling Trump a racist is what got him elected--only the far left who hates him and his policies call him a racist, whereas the majority of people from Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Michigan believed he had better ideas for the country. I'm personally no more a fan of Trump than I was of Obama (they're both a joke in their own ways) but I'm sure enjoying Trump's policies a lot more than Obama's.

And to me, it makes perfect sense why we would want to scrutinize the hell out of those individuals (all immigrants really) who wants to come here. If it doesn't benefit American citizens then why bring in people who will be a net drain on society? It's bad enough that our federal government fetuses to take border security/illegal immigration seriously, but intentionally welcoming people who do not share our values/have little offer is stupid. Europe is starting to learn this the hard way...

The same Huffington Post which gave Hillary a 98% chance in winning the election? Oh ok...

Trump is anti-women, so clearly this will not happen...

What scoring exercise? PRFs weren't submitted unless the member had a UIF or a DNP.

I'm not seeing the new rates available on the DoD webpage BAH calculator... https://www.defensetravel.dod.mil/site/bahCalc.cfm

Because civilian/contract pilots don't work well for the Army or the Air Force when it comes to rotor-wing...so 'cheesy and out-of-touch'.

Firearms accidentally discharge regularly? Do pencils also mispell words? People might accidentally discharge firearms, but it is still caused by a person. "But in a police interrogation, Garcia Zarate admitted to firing the gun, saying he was aiming at a seal." https://wgntv.com/2017/11/30/garcia-zarate-acquitted-of-homicide-in-kate-steinles-death/

Wasn't sure to put this here or the WTF thread... https://sanfrancisco.cbslocal.com/2017/11/30/jury-reaches-verdict-in-steinle-murder-trial/ Unfortunately I wasn't too schocked...it just further shows the decline of our culture/values, especially in places like San Fran and Cali. I've seen more outrage from the left for killing a gorilla in a zoo or lion in Africa...

Does T-38 PIT not ensure that you are qualified to teach the T-38 PIT syllabus?
-
If they make it through PIT then what does it matter? Heavy guys go onto to fly T-38s at TPS/with the U-2 and I'm sure some become IPs. If you're a good instructor then you can learn to teach anything you've been qual'd in.

1,000 Retired Pilots Can Be Recalled to Active Duty

Jimmy? -
Yeah...I mean the senior leaders would never allow exceptions to policy based off of someone's religion, right? https://time.com/4625313/us-army-uniform-sikh-turbans-hijab/ Full disclosure: I wouldn't have any problems signing the letter/certificate.
-
Nah, that's wouldn't work--see the Second Amendment for an example of how people don't care what is in the Constitution or what the founding fathers said about a certain issues.

That's because the PRFs suspense date to the Wings were before the CSAF/Air Staff policy release. -
Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.

If he was considered such a danger to society before the shooting then why wasn't he in prison? Gun laws work as well as drug laws, so if society does not believe person X should have 'access' to Y (i.e. ability to obtain Y, whether legally or illegally) then due process should be used to put person X in prison until they are no longer a threat to society.

I'm suprised this topic hasn't been mentioned on here lately...

Because they're making you fulfill the commitment you voluntarily signed. Now when they keep you one day longer then it becomes an issue. -

Here's the latest and greatest from big blue: About 200 pilots, all voluntary, and most will go to staff jobs with some to IP jobs. I don't see too many volunteers other than those recently hired by the airlines who want to build seniority without the crappy schedule. https://www.airforcetimes.com/news/your-air-force/2017/10/23/air-force-pilots-recalled-under-trump-order-will-serve-as-instructors-staff/ -

I'll even go a step further--more Americans each year are less interested/concerned with the well being of servicemen and women. If you ask the typical Bernie Sanders supporter whether they would trade reduced military retiree benefits for increases to social programs (single payer healthcare, government funded community college, etc) I think it's pretty obvious where their support would most likley be. But to be fair, most GOP politicians only care enough about military benefits to satisfy their base. I don't believe the same retirement benefits given today will be given to me over the next 30-40 years of my life. -
Damn--8 in a class? Is that the standard? Also, is is 1 class every 6 weeks or something different?

How many retirees would be willing to to give up their retired benefits to refuse to come back on AD? Not saying this 'could' happen, but I wouldn't be surprised based off all the caveats written in our laws. Regardless, I'm expecting lawsuits galore if/when guys get non-vol'd back to AD if met with the risk of losing something (retirement benefits, etc). Take a look at each of Trump's EO to limit/ban certain types of immigration:. All have been met with a federal judge finding the EOs unconstitutional--why would this be any different? -
Customs and Border Protection Air Interdiction Agent

Shocking. Again, the vast majority of prior military pilots who have other decent options (airlines, medflights, etc) aren't begging to have these federal flying jobs. -
You're defending the argument for more gun control while not defending the argument for zero gun control...so yes, you're a progressive. When you start acting like a libertarian then I'll believe you're a libertarian.
