  1. Quality stuff! "Don't make me pull this thing over!"
  2. From the F-15E Assignment guy: "Due to the significant lack of F-15E EWO production since FY 00, I will continue to send a single OPS WSO from each base to EWO school NET 2 years TOS. This maybe in addition to OPS to OPS movers and will not be a permanent policy but a one year proposal to help backfill the lack of past production. Following course completion, the new EWO will PCS to another F-15E OPS assignment and perform EWO specific duties in the SQD/WING. EWO’s are no longer eligible, unless they VOLUNTEER, for traditional ALFA tours (ALO/Pensacola) and NON EWO specific remotes but maybe assigned to EWO duties in the future to include (EWO specific remotes, Randolph EWO school and EA-6. EWO school is 75 training days and on a fixed academic schedule with only 2 flying days allocated. WSO’s need not be on the current VML to “VOL” for this assignment but needs to have NLT 2 years TOS. BL, a great deal for another OPS assignment!" I'd be kinda wary of this. Ops-to-Ops is great, but I imagine there's a price to pay down the road. Prowler tour, random wing EWO at a non F-15E base don't sound too fun. The Growler might be fun ride though. Probably lots o' bells and whistles.
  3. Yeah, I'll buy all of that. I was thinking more along the lines of... You take away the planes from the St. Louis crowd, but you keep all of the people and let them fly / maintain / support (and cyber) the B-2. I doubt that the B-2 was undermanned, so are you increasing the mission capability at all? Active pilots will get less flight time, and you'll have a bunch of guard dudes qual'd to go fly and get 'er done. How does that help? You're effectively overmanning the weapon system so Ike can keep people on his payroll.
  4. Not to bash the guard, but this seems like it wastes a lot of money. I doubt they're getting any more airplanes, and you're bringing an entire wing of pilots with all of its overhead to Knob Knoster? I know Ike's a powerful man, and (most importantly to him) he's not losing any payroll moving people from St. Louis to the Knob, but I don't see how this helps the mission in any way.
  5. Just remember that being an IP in an Ops squadron does not check the Instructor square like being an IP in the FTU / UPT. Hoser Do you mean personnel / career wise? [ 03. March 2006, 12:10: Message edited by: F-15E WSO ]
  6. Yeah, Don't confuse that Sh*t. I think we even had an FCIF in the AOR that said / prohibited flying with sleeping pills. Apparently some dude took the wrong stuff and didn't enjoy his flight home.
  7. Here's the ACC version. You have to have a valid ACC email address to get it to work. Your comm sq. should be able to give you the program code. - Go to <https://hup.microsoft.com/> - Choose your preferred country and language. - Enter your official email address and Program Code (xxxxxxxxxx). - To verify your identity, a confirmation notice will be sent to your work email shortly. Upon receipt, please read the instructions in the email and click on the link provided. You’ll be taken to a secure site where you can complete your order (select either MS Office XP or MS Office 2003) and it will be shipped to the location you have chosen. For shipments to an on-base address, the "city" field must be spelled out completely.
  8. Davis Monthan has a HUMMR. Yes please!
  9. I've always been trying to get cleared Direct BANGOR.
  10. "Twoop" "Poop"
  11. https://www.shipcar.com/ Is a place to start, but there's tons of places that will likely end up referring you an independent tower. I shipped a car across the country in 2003 with no problems. I got referred to the guy from a website, called him, we picked a date to pick up the car, and the car showed up when and where I wanted. I think it was about $600. Should be cheaper for you.
  12. If you've got a hot life support chick, you can ask her to polish your helmet.
  13. When I was there, everyone bought them. One guy almost blew his foot off at the range when the gun "went off by itself" (THE HATCH JUST BLEW). I think they look nice. No words on longevity.
  14. Talk to someone who does it to make sure it's what you really want to do, see if your boss agrees and will support you, then put it on you T-ODP. They're accepting a few more pilots on the upcoming assignment cycle.
  15. Wow, 3 and 4 really looked bad in that 2nd video.
  16. Most of the F-15E's are home from OH-Hi-Oh. One thing I learned at Wright Patt... You guys have a H-O-T Lt named Lyndsay. Oh... So sweet. Want to touch the hiney.
  17. There are F-15E WSOs and there are F-15E EWOs. Same job, just additional training for the EWOs. Most EWOs (including the newly MR Chief) don't admit that they are EWOs as they can get railed into perceived bad deals as well as real bad deals (Wing EWO at Kunsan, Prowler tour). I don't know the number spread but the EWOs are relatively rare in the squadron probably <15% of the WSOs.
  18. I thought the GBU-38 was going to solve all of the urban CAS problems and make the insurgents stop fighting (not).
