I dig on the C-27J, I'd love to fly it. However, it's kind of strange to be the Baseops bird de jour, seeing how it's one of the smallest fleets in our inventory.

Brabus- You're right. I never really had a "negative experience" in Boulder, that was the closest thing I could think of at the time. In light of your post, I guess the harrassment exeperienced daily in the form of offers of pot by every patchouli-stinking hippie living off of daddy's money, would rank as a "negative experience," over the puking thing. I'm changing my answer. Hippies = negative experience.

The sad thing is these people breed. And because of bike helmets, GFI outlets, childproof lighters, seat belts, etc., the heard is no longer sufficently culled. The dumb ones live and breed and their dumb offspring live and breed. For evidence, go to walmart and look around.

Disagree. It's like when we were kids, you could crack Mom jokes on all your friends, except for that one kid whose Mom died. You couldn't crack Mom jokes with him. Crew makes bonehead mistake and dies = you get to listen to the CVR tapes in you CRM refresher, but no jokes. Good post. As far as the iron ownership goes, everyone understands who owns the iron, the US taxpayer and big Air Force. It's hard not to take a little ownership of iron when you've been flying, fixing, and guarding the same tail numbers for 20 plus years, in some cases. Also, bitching is a sport in a lot of ARC units, I could see how that would look bad when viewed from the outside. Most will shut up and color when given a mission.
