Get used to how it looks. That's us in 20 years. And Detroit now.
-
If you're gonna have it done, you might as well put in the extra .69% of effort and finish it 6 months earlier so there's no question of whether it's in your records or not.
-
You get half a point for taking a test (DLAB) that takes all of two hours regardless of how you scored?!

I don't know, an uber-liberal running for senate in an ultra-conservative state based solely on the fact that she is a UK basketball fan? She might have a shot.

WG/CC fired for failing PT waist measurement

Or a captain basic AC with 1 year TIG in a tanker squadron. WTF? -
I don't have the source right now, but I know I saw in one of the 6-9 memos that were sent out detailing sequestration guidance that all musical groups will be limited to performing locally unless the trip is funded by the user. I would think this would effectively kill the TIB season because there's got to be exactly zero audiences that would pay for these jokers' travel to come perform for them.

Meaning 189th guys are going to be flying with the 62d during the transition? Along with 22AF? That place is going to be a jumbled mess for awhile.

In this fiscal environment, you're going to see a lot more checkrides in AMC conducted in the simulator. You're not going to have enough flying hours to log beans and give checkrides.
-
No. You only do 2- engine work in your annual CRM sim, but it's not evaluated. Same for the E/H. Checkride profiles for both aircraft just include a 3-engine go around and 3-engine landing.

Don't worry, I don't think there are enough navs left in the AF for this scenario to happen.

I'm guessing it rhymes with "schmar-pee-ay".

Anybody that's read Not a Good Day To Die and remembers General Trebon's decision to overrule the guys on the ground in the Shahikot and get a bunch of guys killed should note that he had more than 7,000 hours.

I think the 50th is going to be the TFI unit at KLRF. I hadn't heard Yokota will get Js that soon...interesting.

WTF do blown tires have to do with a hard landing? 99.69% of blown tires are caused by a brake locking up or faulty anti-skid.

Ours is primarily in charge of running the Resiliency Day activities. Not at all a waste of money.

Homeland Security - Fair and Rational Reaction?

The MRAP was designed for one type of contingency: fighting an insurgency. That should tell you what Big Sis thinks her job is right now. -
It actually is not uncommon. I once had a nav try to avoid a storm otherwise known as Thailand. Of course, she was a lesbian and was afraid she was going to Bangkok. <rimshot> I'll be here all week!

I seem to remember him going missing for a few months a year or two ago. When he returned he had that big fat naked guy as his profile pic. That's one of those things you can't un-see.

Speaking of stupid people making videos, does anybody have the one of the dumbass freaking out about the B-2 flying over? I've searched, but it's buried deep on here somewhere.

The guys who signed up for the AFRC unit will still be flying Herks, just not for the FTU. All active duty USAF C-130 guys come through Little Rock for the FTU. Gunship guys just get an instrument qual before going on to their own FTU.

Spray what? I hope you're not referring to MAFFS.

Faster, more fuel efficient, smaller MX footprint, better MX rates (no more delays for changing TIT gauges), simpler mission planning, digimap, reconfigure the cargo compartment in half the time, and a HUD. You're right, that's not an upgrade.
-
53d AS as in the red-headed stepchild squadron of the AF's red-headed stepchild MWS. It used to be an E-model FTU squadron then moved over to AMC, then was threatened with losing formation and airdrop quals, now is just going to disappear. Spinner, any word on if the 50th TFI unit will fly H3s, or are they sending those elsewhere?
-
My understanding is that the 50th and 53d are standing down. The 61st should be getting their first J soon. One of the legacy squadrons will be an associate unit.
