And when they gesture at my boat with a questioning look, I’ll say, “well sir, that’s my replacement boat, but I didn’t have money leftover for replacement guns.”
-
Fuck Liberty Safes on principle, but also no matter how I have my guns stored, the gov will get them in a “fuck your house up” style raid. Now the ones that aren’t in the house…good luck fuckers!

Honestly who cares. Individuals can do whatever they want WRT masks, vax, etc. If anything, the masks serve as a high probable ID criteria for all the idiots out there who haven’t learned a damn thing in the last 3.69 years.

More applicable today than anytime in our history.

As you get more tattoos (potentially), keep in mind a lot of professional jobs will not want them visible. Tattoo sleeves are cool and all, until you go to the airlines later in life and you’re forced to assimilate with all those psychos who wear the long sleeve shirt!

Who’s that jackass? Weird, seen tons of disagreements between white men, because they in fact do not think alike.
-
“I didn’t do anything more than any other veteran out there that served this country,” she said. Well, she at least said one mostly true thing, but she could have just stopped talking after the word “anything.”
-
The tattoo policy is fairly loose right now. Don’t get anything on your neck/face/hands and you’re fine. Kanji won’t be a problem.

@cleared_hot Who’s mandating boosters?

Sorry about your mom, but they did not prevent her from doing something. They didn’t approve financially covering that something. Completely invalid comparison to the UK situation.

When do insurance companies say you don’t have a right to try something? This situation is not the same as saying “we won’t pay for X.” This is straight up the government telling someone they don’t get a say in the matter of their own life.
-
You’re not missing anything. When will all the jackasses in this country actually learn how incredible valuable our liberty and freedoms are, and how they do not exist anywhere else on earth. Why do we fight leftist bullshit? Because we don’t want to live in a country who tells someone they’re not allowed to make health decisions for themselves (spoiler, our society/gov has already demonstrated the desire to do exactly that).

That’s crazy. I know plenty of people (and tons more according to word of mouth) that were sub 60. Maybe it’s your browser search history holding you back! Also, the NFA needs to die immediately.
-
They’ve already done that. The bobs have been scrambling for years, grasping at any and all straws. They have no viable solution…other than retain enough dudes while producing approx 1000/yr. Congress and the DOD are unwilling to put real effort into retaining, so they just struggle like a fat kid at weight-loss camp to produce more (but less capable/greater limfacs early on).

What’s funny is how incredibly ridiculous all their made up bios and claims are. I mean, why not just make up some believable shit and leave the ridiculous red flags out of it. You could just say I shot a bunch of AQ in Mosul while in the Army. But no, they have to then add on how they then joined the AF as a spec ops fighter pilot who fought aliens on the moon. I don’t get it.
-
The sad part is that’s 100% accurate and not hyperbole in the slightest.
-
Obviously she was a black SOF fighter pilot and flying whirly birds was just a cover for her real career. Probably actually resides in the 08s and is the primary SME (for everything) consultant for SECDEF. Stop being mean to such a hero guys! Also, can someone please go crash this event and publicly embarrass the shit out of they/them!

The lack of the internet in 1969 makes this recent debacle acceptable? Lol, OK inspector Clouseau.

What would be nice is if we found the middle ground solution: support our interests abroad (e.g. help RUS crumble) while still prioritizing homeland defense (e.g. border security). I’m not anti-UKR involvement, but I am anti-how much we put into that vs. how little our gov gives a fuck about our non-existent southern border. We’re doing a horrendous job at prioritizing national defense actions, and that’s what pisses people off the most in my opinion.

Flu: Approved in 1945 for non-mil use after ~15 yrs of dev Anthrax: Russia created in 1930, US in 1950s, current version created in 1960s after decades of dev Malaria: First version in 1830, current day developed in 1970s Covid: Dev’d in 6-11 months (depending on country), without traditional rigors of testing met 3/4 of the ones you mentioned have been dev’d, tested, and refined over an average of 41 years before anyone in the mil currently received them. One of the above was extremely rushed to say the least, shoved down millions of throats with unknown/TBD short and long term effects. Simultaneously, data at the time already demo’d people under 50ish who were generally healthy were as a whole generally not affected by COVID in any meaningful way. This of course has been double stamped, and now triple stamped (can you do that!?), proven by today. So, there was no reason to resist the 40+ year vaccines/pills, where as there were/are objective reasons to resist a COVID vaccine, neither of which have any link to politics whatsoever. Then of course one can easily throw in all the questionable shit the gov and big pharma did, but that’s outside the scope of this specific response. None of this is to say people who did wish to get the vaccine are bad or idiots or whatever. You do you based on your own assessment and in conjunction with your doc’s rec if you value that. Forced vaccine was reckless, even in the mil.
-
@pawnman You said if people didn’t get the vax due to doctor rec, you were ok with that. If they didn’t get it for any other reason, you said you don’t respect that decision. So, you explicitly stated you did not respect individual medical freedom in 2021. And you backed that stance up with garbage info that has been substantially refuted since then. Those are facts, not strawmen.
-
I get the curiosity, but this is the internet and you should not expect anyone who actually knows anything about these aircraft or missions to give the types of responses you’re hoping for (this also serves as a reminder to the bros out there). If you ever make it to any of these, you’ll love whichever it is and learn to appreciate the strengths of the others.

VA disability that doesn’t affect FAA/ civilian flying
brabus replied to Guardian's topic in General Discussion
True, I can’t say my above comment references a single shoe clerk. But are true desk jockeys really 80% of the VA claims from the AF? That’s probably significant hyperbole. I’m sure there are many valid ratings for MX, some poor bastard shoe clerk who got sucked into Chang’s AFPAK wet dream and got hurt, SF guys, every dude who flies on airplanes, etc. -
VA disability that doesn’t affect FAA/ civilian flying
brabus replied to Guardian's topic in General Discussion
Valid there are scammers, but I don’t believe that’s a large percentage. I know a ton of dudes, and have met many more, who have legit VA claims. It’s unfortunate dbags exist, but certainly don’t want random civilians thinking “it’s a scam” as the default when they meet a vet who has a VA rating.
