But here we are and once again, I will vote for the better policies even when I don’t love the person behind the policies. I believe Kamala’s track record and proposed future actions are a disaster. Don’t really care about her as a person - I’m not voting against her, I’m voting against her policies. If I wanted to be emotional about it, I could make a very long list of stupid and irrational statements and actions she has attached to her. Don’t act like any politician is without that baggage.

    I’ve taken “personal quality” out of the equation. They’re all shit, so it doesn’t matter. What are the policies (past and expected) and what are the outcomes (real or projected). Do they support general American principles or not? Thats what people should be voting based on. Voting for person X solely because it’s not person Y is fucking retarded. If that’s how you feel, just don’t vote.

    When I became a SEFE many years ago, the best thing my IP said was, “you fly with these guys all year, if you’re always an instructor, then you’re also always an evaluator. So when a one off day chosen via a dart at a board is that guys checkride, you already know if he’s what he should be , or not, the ride itself is just a paperwork generator and nothing more.” Took that philosophy forward happily. The problem with the dbag SEFEs is they were never worth a shit to begin with, couldn’t instruct, and they finally wore their knee pads down enough to be shoved into an evaluator position.

    It appears that way. And the 28th is not the only squadron with them, they’re just the ones who have had the most recent, significant mishap. When I’m around the AD, it’s down right scary what is being allowed to occur in some squadrons. The “Gen Z mindset” combined with flaccid leadership who don’t hold them accountable (generalities, not everyone) will get expensive shit destroyed and people killed. And if you’re a Gen Z guy who isn’t like what you know I’m alluding to, then be a leader yourself and present a positive example for your counterparts to follow. You can hold your peers accountable, just do it.

    Welcome to the CAF. 100% of F-35 sorties are not compliant with AFI (not allowed area nav, but that’s what you typically need to do or just do anyways). In reality it makes zero diff and there’s nothing wrong with it, but the certification process is so arduous it hasn’t been done. So ridiculous.

    I would give it a shot. You’re on full time orders and really that’s their intent - capture people who are full time before they go part time/get out and are a free agent to their competitors. I would think the minutia of splitting hairs WRT type of T10/T32 orders is not something they care about.

    I never shoot indoors, so hoping they’d be good for outdoors. Most of my rifle shooting is suppressed, so biggest factor is pistol and shotgun
